I CAN TURN THE THROTLE UP OR I CAN TURN IT DOWN WHAT GREAT WORDS OF WISDOM AND THAT LADIES AND GENTLEMEN IS WHAT MOTOR SPORT IS ALL ABOUT NO MORE TO BE SAID !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think this popped up on my suggested list due to me currently binging on TT videos. Always good to see road racing. The Irish do seem very good at it.
I think that Davey Gordon who crashed was a Ballymena man? Was it a brother or another relative Norman Gordon that was clerk of course at Aghadowey many years ago?
I'm not sure if they are related or not, possibly are. Yes Norman Gordon was CoC of Aghadowey & Mid Antrim 150 I believe. He ran a very tight ship and excellent races.

That brings me back, what a treat to find this on the internet. If the race was run now the riders would be doing over 140....in 3rd gear.

Unfortunately it's finished now since last year. A fantastic sport brought to an end by the insurance companies.
It's a national sport in Ireland. And on the Isle of Man.
Brilliant. I wish that I could've witnessed that, if it ever ran again, I'd be there. Was the start line on the Carrick Rd? KH fom Derbyshire UK.
I think the start line was in Leitrim village, it was great, loved it, i had a Yamaha 125 DT, we thought we were Joey Dunlop!
Great video..
Thanks for sharing it..

That chopper was destroyed in the 90s by a stupid pilot who thought he could fly it out of a hole in the ground)))) Peacocks M.O.L. calls Pilots))))
I'd a massive get off at Leitrim in 97😮😮
