Big thanks i am 45 and my wife is slightly older, we both sat our GCSE last week. We would like to thank you for your guides as they are very easy to follow and understand. We will defiantly be encouraging our kids to watch them in due course.
Nexo Hiya - thanks loads!!! A favour to ask....Any chance you could spare 30 secs to vote for HegartyMaths in this Richard Branson competition which ends in a few days. Would mean a lot to me and HegartyMaths. www.virginmediabusiness.co.uk/pitch-to-rich/start-up/hegartymaths/ Thanks Mr H
As for the last question, when finding out the length of the chord, you can also use the Sine Rule. You know that it's an isosceles triangle because two of the lengths are equal. The base angles are equal, and they are 30 degrees each. So now you know all the angles and all the sides except one so you can find that one out using the Sine Rule.
Hi Mr Hegarty we use your you tube videos in our lessons as adult learners wish you had been about doing this 20 years ago I've been diagnosed dyslexic with numbers last year I have to say without too much gushing that you are a great teacher I've not been over everything you've posted but love the way you teach especially if you do a step by step approach like 3x4 squared gives you 16 so when you add this to your formula of volume 9 + 16 = 25 then break it down a little for discalculia people as sometimes I wonder where a number came from because my thinking and working out is rusty and muddled too so you do a little more basic introduction as the education system let me down very badly there's gaps in my basic learning in maths Much thanks for your hard work over the years I hope you win the maths prize you are selfless and brilliant👍
Dear Craig. There should be an S/D button on your calculator that coverts fractions to decimals. Press this and it will decimalise the 16/3 pi to get the answer 16.8. Hope that helps. Mr H
***** Hiya farooq- thanks loads!!!
What I want to understand, is for the 4th question where you have the right angle, why don't you just work out the circumference and then x by 0.75 to get 3/4 of the circumference which is the same answer?
where do you live sir? if you live in London i would like to meet you and i am good in maths and doing Gcse this year so i need your help 100% you are life saver thanks but reply me pls
Hi mr Hegarty I just wanted to say again I'm sorry you don't keep the answer as accurate as possible eg a long answer. I have done your questions and I kept my answer in pi until the last bit the final answer. Is that vital for the real exam?
life saver . but can someone tell me , you know the grade A* they are quite hard to get like that and I would want to be able to answer thought questions like that so what can I do ???
warsame abdi Hiya - thanks loads!!!
Zack yes that's true because he didn't leave the other answers as accurate as possible and that can really affect you in the real exam. I'm 16 doing 2018 GCSE and I need to learn you must always keep your answer as accurate as possible even in pi until the final answer XD

You are most welcome! The very best of luck in your exams. Very proud to have been of help. Good luck!
I have my maths exam tomorrow and ive been watching your videos for so long and this is the last video i'm going to watch at GCSE, thankyou so much!!!
Well, how are u 3 years later?
Yeah, it's been FOUR years now, I wanna know how they did lol
Same, how was your exam? Did you pass?
HE died IRL
Thanks dude your a lifesaver watched the whole lot of videos at 1am

I hope u win your awesome!!!!!!
wrong "your" man smh
@@harrih632 Its not even any use of 'your' smh
9 years and still very helpful and easy to understand thanks hegartymath.
you are a grade saver :0 i've watched 50 of your video's in 3 days and you have taught me more than my maths teacher, Thank you so much
I watched all your aqa videos and just thought I'd say thanks for all these videos because I got an A in the exam from a D in my mock :)

Thanks for getting advanced and solving some complex questions
I really appreciate your videos

Hi Mr Hegarty
we use your you tube videos in our lessons as adult learners wish you had been about doing this 20 years ago
I've been diagnosed dyslexic with numbers last year
I have to say without too much gushing that you are a great teacher I've not been over everything you've posted but love the way you teach especially if you do a step by step approach like
3x4 squared gives you 16 so when you add this to your formula of volume 9 + 16 = 25 then break it down a little for discalculia people
as sometimes I wonder where a number came from because my thinking and working out is rusty and muddled too so you do a little more basic introduction as the education system let me down very badly there's gaps in my basic learning in maths
Much thanks for your hard work over the years I hope you win the maths prize you are selfless and brilliant👍
Because the angle is in radians. A different measure they use in A-Level but the angles given in GCSE are measured in degrees.
Thanks again..don't know what I'd do without your help 😩😭💗
This channel is really great, keep up the great work!!!
Cheers Mutammim Chowdhury Be sure to check out hegartymaths.com for loads more help. Mr H

Dear Mr and Mrs Pullen. Very delighted if I have helped you. Best of luck in those exams and let me know how you do. Mr Hegarty
yes. hes talking about a-level
hegarty ur a very good teacher i encourage u to make more videos
***** Hiya farooq- thanks loads!!!
For the arc u can just do thêta over 360 x pie x diameter
Yes as diameter is two times radius
what if you're not given the radius?
-separate question- and what if you're not given the angle but you're given the al and sa??
Sirage rearrange the formula
When using the sine rule for the last question I do a/sin120 = 60/sin30, but that's a negative number so what did I do wrong?
thank you . you really helped in this lesson can make more explanation sector and arc :)
in Quesion 12 you wrote the arc formula but why, the said about a circle sector and why you didn't write in sector formula
8 years ago but still useful 💖
What I want to understand, is for the 4th question where you have the right angle, why don't you just work out the circumference and then x by 0.75 to get 3/4 of the circumference which is the same answer?
you can also do that but he was just using the formula
Thankyou! Exam tomorrow:(
I used the sin rule to calculate the length of the side on the triangle but still reached the same answer seemed easier that way
it all makes sense. Thank you very very much :)
yes keshika
where do you live sir? if you live in London i would like to meet you and i am good in maths and doing Gcse this year so i need your help 100% you are life saver thanks but reply me pls
Creep mr.hegarty won't meet some random stranger
Do we get Sine and Cosine rules on the equation sheet?
holy shit you helped me so much. im about to do a test where its life and death
What do you multiply by two?
Fave math teacher
When I do arc length I do angle/360 x pi x diameter, is that the same as angle/360 x 2 x pi x radius?
Would this more likely be on non calc or calc?
No. 2 x pi x r x theta/360
im trying to learn this in yr 9 and its very challenging
I’m so confused on what pie equals what is pie and how did you work it out
Pi = approximately 3.14
Thank you bro ur a good teacher :) but is there a factorising topic video , can u send me the video link? Thanks again :)...
How do you this out on a non calculator paper
Hi mr Hegarty I just wanted to say again I'm sorry you don't keep the answer as accurate as possible eg a long answer. I have done your questions and I kept my answer in pi until the last bit the final answer. Is that vital for the real exam?
isnt arc length and sectors the same thing because it has the same formulas?
Can you do a video on set theory and venn diagrams
Thank you very much ~
pls im revising the night before my mocks lmaooo!
life saver . but can someone tell me , you know the grade A* they are quite hard to get like that and I would want to be able to answer thought questions like that so what can I do ???
At 5:00 you got 982.969 but on my calculator it said 982.4711111? So if I put 982.5, would it be deemed as incorrect? By the way, neat videos.
I got 355.3 for the last one, but he said 355.2
@@kingofblox2976 355.3 is right, but 982.5 is wrong. This happens when you round off values and use them before getting the final answer.
thank you so much

How do u convey number into pie plz sum1
Brill, thankyou!
Thank you, non- calculator on tuesday and calculater on friday :/

doing it in lesson this week and dont get it
Oh got it
your answer still gives 39 because you round down
it should be 355.3 not 355.2 at the end
Zack yes that's true because he didn't leave the other answers as accurate as possible and that can really affect you in the real exam. I'm 16 doing 2018 GCSE and I need to learn you must always keep your answer as accurate as possible even in pi until the final answer XD
