Thank you I have been waiting for two handyman to come over and help me hang my curtain rods they all seem to fall through the cracks at one point or another so I’ve decided I’m going to do it myself. I have been googling it and this seems to be really, not as difficult as I thought do you think I need to buy a drill or can I use a hammer?
How do you determine where to place hardware into the Wall & it will hold the Drapery Rod? Tried this so many times & the curtain Rod falls out of the wall & I'm left with a Big Hole. Help!!
When you decide to buy a rod set, they have a maximum weight rating. Don't forget to weigh your curtains or look at the curtain weight on the packaging if it has it. If that's not an option there are anchors rated for higher weight. Make sure their screws fit the rod hardware too.
Literally emptied the hardware bag out on to the table & went to bed- 2 nights in a row. The installation instruction video on the curtain rod co page was terrible. Are you aware how helpful your video is? Thank you for sharing !!
Oh my goodness, do you know how much your comment means to me? THANK YOU!!!! I'm so happy my little hack helped you. I used it two weeks ago when I was staging a client's house. It made it so easy to hang up drapery in their living room.
Do papers need to be perfectly 90 degree straight? also seems like there's a gap between your frame and paper so its not full 90 degrees, not sure if that matters
The foundation of this template is assuming the horizontal frame is level. Then the sheet of paper on the right doesn't need to be perfectly square. It's crooked in the video but it doesn't matter because it's use is just to have height for the marking dot. If the ceiling isn't level this doesn't work so well.
If it is I don't think you will notice..unless it is super noticeable, and if it is I would sue whoever build the house...or the architect... Otherwise I would not worry if it's not perfectly even.
There is a thing called "level" that can be used to see if ur rod is straight or not. Why waste paper and then again I still dont get what the paper did?!
The purpose of the paper isn't just for ensuring it's in level. The paper also creates a spacing guide (template) for rod placement. This ensures the rod is spaced equally on the both sides of the window without having to measure multiple times.
I used this tip the other day and it saved me so much time and frustration.
You just saved my life! I was so stressed this would be hard, but I’m feeling confident now, fingers crossed!😅
This only works if the window frame itself is level.
Yes, but at least the curtain and window will look the same. If one was level and the other was not it would be very noticeable.
@@Lughnerson curtain and window will look the same, but when the curtains are closed, the rod won't look level, because it was leveled to the frame.
At that point you should stop d.i.y. shit😅
@@Lughnerson if ceiling is straight but window out curtains will look pissed
Kinda no shit?
Thank you for this tip it made the job so much easier!
Yay! I'm so happy you tried it! Thank you for watching.
This is one of those things that makes you feel as stupid as a stick 😂 sooo simple, logical, and easy-but I never would have thought of it 😂😂😂
lmao so true and thats why I end up with so many damn holes 💀😂
😂😂😂😂yes my God is so simple 😊
"As a stick" lmao 🤣
So simple yet so genius 🤯
I would use a leveler too. The window frame might not be level.
I found that using an actual level to place the second hardware actually makes it level.
I'm going to try this weekend
Genius. Thank you.
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Love this hack, thanks! 😁👍🏾♥️

Awesome, thank you so much 👍
That’s genius!
Only works if the window is level. Sometimes the to of the wall is not level. Perhaps eye the marks first for adjustments.
SAVED MY LIFE
Thank you

I’m using the clear rod holder, but this hack will work. Thx!😊
Awesome!! Ty

Where u got the curtain
It's from Target
This would’ve me so much math
Laser level
Is that a category in the Miss USA Pageant that Miss South Carolina just taught us?
What if the window is not level???🤔
Go down from the ceiling instead of up from the window trim
Assuming your window trim is leveled
What if your window is crooked?
If it is I don't think you will notice..unless it is super noticeable, and if it is I would sue whoever build the house...or the architect... Otherwise I would not worry if it's not perfectly even.
Cool tip, but those curtains and what ever is hanging with them looks ugly
Shouldn’t you be placing the screws into the studs

Yeah no thanks. I’ll keep using a measuring tape and level
Paper framing square
my rod is always level
Uh uh, level instead pls if your window /moulding is unlevel so will your rod
Assuming your window trim is actually level…50-50 shot there, lol
Shwwwt up 😂😂 so easy
LOL! Love a good hack!
That only works if the top of your windows are level…
You didn't even measure the distance from the ceiling down or from the top board up. You must have a bionic eye that has a built-in tape measure....
Too difficult
When you let a woman put a curtain
Lame
