We will never forget? Hell, I still play my PS3, I have the 80 gb fat model since 2010, never had a single problem, too many great games in backlog, tons of people online, countless epic moments. Still releasing games for it, so it's not dead, not yet.

I've got all the PlayStations and still play on 2 and 3 I only got the PS3 last year and have numerous games I want to complete and numerous games I still want to buy for the PS3 like the TLOU, Uncharted, Two Souls and Remember Me.

GTAGAMER ive got a PS, PS1, PS2 Fat, 2xPS3 Slim, PS3 Fat, PS3 Slim a PS4 2nd model 1TB. I should have said consoles. I aint got a PSX they nice but I never use imports. I also had another PS3 Slim but give away to a couple I knew. So yeh I pretty much have every Sony Console. I basically one PS, PS 1-4 every gneration. But their is zero point owning more then one console type and every PlayStation plays the original PlayStation games not sure about 4. But all I play on is 3/4 rarely on 2.. Half my consoles are in cupboards and I have the Original XBox (Modded) and a 360... So basically best of both worlds... Next I plan to build a gaming rig.

The one thing that I'll never forget about the PS3 was it's calm, quite yet robust and active atmosphere in Naughty Dog games, as well as in Playstation Home. It made the player feel complete~

Havent even turned my ps4 on in those 3 weeks. During my ps3 days, al i ever played was cod onli e year after year. Addicting,but i missed out on a bunch of good games on ps3 and now i have a chance to to play 20 good games for only $50.

***** Well if we are speaking about ganes i remeber that until i was for about 10 years old my father would play with my PS1 at night. Various games. Need for Speed 4 , Gran Turismo 2 , Tekken 3 , Medal of honor etc. I remeber him being a pro in all racing games and even when i let him play any racing game on my PS2 or PS3 even without having played it before he is still 10 times better than me! :p And when i ask him why he is that good he always replies that '' real experience helps a lot''. But still i cant understand how this work anyway. :p
XgamerGR Well Gran Turismo is the real driving simulator so maybe that's why he knows. I can imagine real experience aiding in a game like Gran Turismo and other racing games like Need for Speed. I wonder if learning to play GT will teach us how to drive lol :p

PopTart41 ps3 has better graphics because it has the cell processor which is better than the 360 and it has blu-ray
imran sheikh Developers only got the hang of the cell processor in the past couple of years. It was a completely different architecture to any processor that had been in consoles before so it was very difficult to develop for. So some multiplatform games suffered on the ps3, for example Bayonetta had lots of frame rate problems on the ps3. So in the long run the cell processor did not give the ps3 much of an advantage and most multiplatform games look almost identical on both consoles. Also the ps3 has 256mb each for the graphics and processor whilst the xbox 360 has 512mb of shared ram so the amount of ram the graphics and processor gets can be dynamically changed which is beneficial for games. Skyrim had many problems on the ps3 because of the allocation of the small amount of ram.

I used to have a game i think it was something like skylanders (i was like 10 so dont judge my 10 year old brain) i put the disk in my ps3 and it would take LITERALLY 2 HOURS FOR IT TO SHUT OFF AFTER FREEZING....Yea im 14 now and that was SO trash, but i still use my PS3 to this day and its gr8...

Ability to change your hard drive any time you wanted, playing bootleg movie files, wireless data sharing and access point, making games on PS3, being able to run emulators, no pointless extra add-ons, controller can charge with any usb powered device, wifi out of the box, lower failure rate, native 720p.

For example, the 360 was easier to develop for and has more immediate hardware power, but now that developers are getting better and better at using the PS3, and because the PS3 has far more hardware potential locked away for developers to find, the PS3 is always going to win.

still got my ps3 and it has many years left. my download speed is fast only 5 mins max, never had any problems. i only played £350 with 5 games and a HDMI cable. and some people dont have a HD tv believe me i know many who dont. the ps4 is looking good but i want to wait till there is more games and they sort more shit out.

For me the PS3 has been my main system from between Dec 2007-Feb 2016 (when I plan to get a PS4). That's nearly a whole decade! interspersed with the Wii, Wii U and the odd set of games on Steam, it's lasted a bloody long time and still getting the odd game here and there!

I think the best thing you can do is be one console behind. I bought a ps3 super slim about 18 months ago for very little money, and have a massive catalogue of great games to get through, games that I can pick up for between €7-€15.

How can you say the PS3 was better, the complete lack of a party function was one of its major flaws that was never fixed until next gen, not to mention it ran games like crap compared the the 360 in the middle of both consoles life time (which was when they were most played). The 360 was just more polished and featured far better exclusives

The PS3 isn't super old or even close. There are still lots of people playing the ps2. So not all gamers are going to immediately ditch the PS3 for the ps4. Those people have a lot of games saved on the PS3 that they probably don't want to give up. It's just my personal opinion so please don't hate on me. I'm not trying to be mean at all.

I think the reason why games are cheaper in America is because we were consuming them before they were popular and now that it's mainstream and accepted by many people in the states, companies have no choice but to sell it for less than their bottom line or risk financial ruin.

2016s line up is too tempting. I'll be getting a PS4 this year I think. There is still so much life in the PS3 though. So many gems most people probably haven't even gotten around to. Given they're also still releasing most high profile games on it next year, I'd wager it has at least another 2 years in it.

praxisnode If I let my ps3 go it's because they finally got the ps3 library running on the ps4 or I feel the features on the PS4 is good enough. I still have my PS2 and play it time to time on games I missed as a kid and I plan to buy a replacement if it breaks.
