Huepel is one of the legendary Sooners in my book and deserved the Heisman in 2000. Welcome back and I wish you success in the rest of your season, but not in this game! Boomer!
Good luck to your Vols on Saturday. OU fans are happy for your fanbase, that your team is back on...well not top but at least the middle. We had a down period as well, that lasted the better part of 5 years, so we can sympathize with the decades of complete and utter irrelevance you had to suffer through. Coach after coach after coach, just failing over and over, even while being in the SEC Least, had to have been tough. Heck, cheating didn't even work, which is one thing we might not understand, but we are fascinated by it, just the same. Anyways, we are glad you found a Sooner to get things on the right track for your team. We have more where that came from, if this one doesn't work out for you. Heck, where would Texas be, without all those great coaches, who were Sooners? We are glad we can get UT and UTjr on the right track.
I think most of us things that Tennessee should win and it shouldn't be that difficult although I don't expect it to be a blowout but it could be having said that ......anything can happen
I thought about the not playing full games for Tennessee. In horse racing you don'th bet on a horse that has always run 6 furlongs and is running in his first 1 1/4 mile.
SO you don't think UT players have not heard the "you haven't played anybody" line. I think the are going to be fired up to make a point. Of course, after UT beats Oklahoma, they will then say "you have played anybody OU sucks"
I’m assuming you guys know football. I certainly don’t feel like you were disrespectful to OU but I wonder if the reality of OUs injury situation has been discussed. Just because the Sooners haven’t looked good at times doesn’t mean they won’t. ANY team including Tennessee would have great difficulty dealing with 4 new starting centers in 3 games, all 4 starting WRs out, and shuffling OL around to get experience and continuity. OU has had 1 reliable WR that Arnold has tried to get the ball to. No QB including Baker or Nico would have much more success when teams can crowd the line and you O line can’t get a push and have been questionable in pass pro. Look, I know some will say these are excuses but now that OU will have 2 of the starting WRs back including their best one, and 2 starting OL back possible 3, there is a good possibility that they will MUCH better. Remember, OU was, with their current roster, favored by like 4.5 by Vegas before the injuries piled up
Yeah but also we have a better defense than the other games ou played. Our defense can really cause them issues on offense. I think Tennessee wins by a touchdown or two. Go vols.
