Episode 12 came with the feels and plot twist trains no one asked for. The Season Finale was so packed...
I would recommend reading at least the first arc from the manga which the anime adapted. The anime was 10/10 , but it cut a lot of internal monologues the enhance that story. You don't have to go further

The thing is that she knows the truth just too late.. Her mom at that time also knew that she found out about the wall and probably get shipped out immediately (I think), so it didn't give her much choice if she wants to survive..
no it was hopeless. Isabella didn't have Norman Ray or the kids to help her out like Emma she was completely alone, she didn't have a plan, no stock of food or clothes for survival and most importantly no direction. Emma and the kids have a place to find thanks to sister Krone but Isabella had nowhere and her fate was basically to die wandering the forest or get eating by a wild demon if she did escape

But if she never gave up then she would have never had Ray and if Ray was never born, he never would have left the girls bunny laying round for Emma and Norman to find on the first episode, which means they never would have returned it to the girl that was shipped and they never would have found out about the farm.

In fact, she was ready to ship off Rey, knew the three smartest kids were a bit much to handle and so planned to rid of each. This anime surprised me so much with how beautiful the last episode was. Every week was, in some way, leading to this masterpiece of an ending. There’s really not much to say besides: wow. Seriously can’t wait for this show to return.

Its kinda great how the adaptation made leslie's role more significant. Think about it, most of the osts are named as Isabella's lullaby(main theme) each ost has this lullaby present, but when it originally came from leslie's mandolin melody, no? Even ray sings it 😅

This story is really intense, and the ost is well made for the anime. I've read the story ahead.. And it's no longer the same *THE PROMISED NEVERLAND* feel that it has after the escape... The ost feels like "We've grown, and moved foward. Good-bye Isabella..."

i knew all along that Isabella isn't as bad as she seems. Because the ending somehow showed a few scenes of like some sort of house scene and then some training scene and someone commented about how its probably how they become a Mama and there was a scene of a girl climbing up the walls and it looked like Isabella. And so there must be a reason why Mama was like 'give up, it won't happen, you can't escape'
I still remember anime readers hating on Isabella at the beginning of the series. While that happened manga readers are holding back their tears just waiting for that ONE scene to be animated and hopefully not spoiling the fun for others
I wholeheartedly believe from day 1 Isabella was training the kids to escape you CANNOT convince me otherwise. She loved those kids but the situation was far out of her control.

The little changes they do in the anime is always pretty exciting i found the ep 12 better in anime.the way emma said goodbye to house and mom before crossing,mama acknowledging defeat opening her hairs,the music everything was perfect
It should have been obvious when she offered Emma the option to train to be a "mother" instead of being harvested that her own circumstances had to have been equally gut wrenching.
