It is so depressing listening to Keir Starmer, so very, very depressing...
Try setting the playback speed to x2. He's just as depressing, but it's over in half the time. If you struggle to make out what he's saying, the message is: "Britain is rubbish, but don't worry, we won't try to change it."
And yet, it’s a reflection of the state that the country is in
Thank you , was wondering what happened and there you are , got depressed
Grow up
Do you prefer Rishi Sunak then?
Sorry Novara Media, but when you play long clips of Keir Starmer talking I just want to run away. The man is so boring! I can feel my will to live draining away as he drones on and on. How did he function as a barrister? Did he bore his opponents into submission?
Probably 😂
Same here☹️
Nothing Starmer can say they'll appeal to me. He's inherently an unreliable and insincere person.
Plus he has enabled genocide.
Well enjoy being on the outer. If you won’t turn up for them and they still go on to win the election then it shows your voting bloc is very irrelevant and very unreliable. The Implication means that they will never bother to give you any platform in future and be easily dismissed labelled radical. Possibly the stupidest thing you can do for any movement. Voting is a tactical skill.
He's trying to get rid of the Tories. He's never been in power so your comment is meaningless. Get with the programme. The vote at the next election has to be 'Not Tory.' As a first step that is all that matters.
What rubbish, that’s the tories lie after lie, pensioners paying stealth tax ,raising plenty of tax for tax cuts, I bet it will go to them somehow.
@@Dionysos640 Starmer is a Tory.
The UK was bankrupt after WW2. In the immediate years after we built the NHS, established the welfare state, and had a massive council house building programme. Tell me again how we can't do this or that because of the economy.
That's because back then, we actually taxed the very rich their fair share. The highest tax band was 96%. Now that's only 96% above a certain amount but it's those kinds of tax brackets that allowed us to fund public services. There was also far more tax brackets that increased incrementally the higher a person's earnings. It was progressive.
Tax is a dirty word now and no party is brave enough to advocate for higher taxes for the rich because they know the rich owners of the media will come after them.
@@gearoftones8585whilst true Labour’s policy of saying the Tories fiscal rules etc are legitimate but just badly executed is the core problem. Like Blair any minor improvements will be undone by the next government once people get frustrated with the do nothing Labour
That’s not untrue, but most of the money to set up post war Britain was from borrowing.
I despise Starmer and the rest of these psychopathic politicians
First step: Lie
Second step: Lie again
Third step: Lie yet again
Fourth step: Lie again of course
Fifth step: Lie once more
Sixth step: Lie for the sixth time.
Step 7: Say it’s the only time he’s lied
A dance of lies
Step 8. Deny ever having lied. Accuse others of lying.
Step 7 : express distain for Corbyn.
Step 8: express admiration for Thatcher.
@@abraxis20steps 7 is right, step 8 is stupid.
"Stability Is Change."
An Orwellian formulation if ever there was one.
‘Same but different’ 😂
"solids are liquids"
Everyone should vote green if they want any actual change they want to cap what bosses can earn and share the wealth more how it should be
But they also want us to commit economic suicide to reduce CO2 whilst the USA, India and China carry on producing it. They're basically insane.
If you live in Hastings, you don’t GET any water, let alone can’t drink or wash in it. 31,000 residents of Hastings and St Leonards went without water for over a week a couple of weeks ago. I went without water for an extra 3 days more than anyone else because Southern Water couldn’t even get a plumber to me. Water should be drinkable, seas, lakes and rivers should not have sh¡t dumped into them AND it should be free to all households.
We've had a pandemic & have a European war, yet the richest have gotten even richer. Not in spite of, but because of those crises in many cases.
Give me the 2019 manifesto any day.
Everyone in Devon should sue the water companies involved, and even the tory government ministers for allowing it.
Sounds like a primary school project.
Love to see Dalia
All 3 of NM's 'Corbyn's Angels' are great imo (Dalia, Ash, Moya)
Excellent show Dalia, great thought provoking statements. Let's see more of you on Novara 👏 👍 👌
Dalia & Mike are Fab🌟🌟
Stability is change; war is peace…
..Starmer is a Tory
I imagine that will be his most lasting legacy, shit loads of plastic cards in the waste stream for 10s of thousands of years.
1st thing I thought too ! 😮
😂 😪 I really hope I don’t get one of Keir’s business cards in the post 😂
Great Team tonight! Thanks.
Green or Workers' Party are two good alternatives to the Starmer/Sunac alliance.
After 14 years of Tory misrule, most people are desperate for change. If Starmer is representing that 'change', we're going to be sorely disappointed.
3:07 Could you imagine if Labour had done what Truss did? We’d never hear the end of it. Like we never hear the end of Labour crashing the economy in 2008, the Winter of Discontent, Gordon Brown selling off some gold, and “there’s no money left”.
What don’t we hear much about? Black Wednesday, the colossal PPE waste spend, the state of the nations finances post-Covid, BREXIT, the fact we had a recession last year?
Starmer takes jacket off and roles his sleeves up like a true Tory in front of his nodding dog cabinet.
Thank you, Dalia and Mike, for the last segment on Mr Shardey. Your understanding and sensitivity of how racism works is invaluable.
If the wealth is not going to be redistributed starmer can talk until his blue in the face, nothing will change
Labour department of sound bites has been working overtime
Just watched Angela Eagle...CON artist
I wash myself with a rag on a stick
😅
I use a Swan neck
I hope he never comes to my door
Fuck, the performative reactions in that room. Just be genuine.
Keir is giving Jen Bush ‘please clap’ energy
starmer wishes he had the charisma of jeb bush
Oh, brother, he's really laying it on thick. This video is destined in the future to become proof of how much Starmer has lied to you.
Nothing good here then!
Gordon. Scotland. Could you please. Tell listeners. It's Scotland where water is not privatised. Not some other part of Britain. We are Scottish not British.
Yeah, but Scotland is part of Great Britain.
Great? 😐😁😅🤣
Great in this case means the larger area .
@@BENTWOONEZERO there's a lesser area called Britain?
The term was originally used to refer to Britain as the larger of the two main "British Isles", the smaller one being Ireland. This was over 2000 years ago, so while it may often be used in a nationalist-pandering way now, Great Britain is just a geographical designation referring to it being a big island.
the rhetorical device for 'crashing an economy'
sets up the idea that the driver was going too fast.
Sir Kid Starver , Ha HA ,
has he starved any children?
@@AZ26744 not just yet, but he will , just watch
He could have at least looked at Ed Miliband when he pulled out the pledges and said 'sorry it's not on a stone' or something
😂 💀 I forgot about that.
Streeting wants to privatise the NHS
Starmer’s charisma dazzled me unconscious.
It would be so refreshing to see Keir Starmer interviewed and challenged from the left on mainstream media instead of from the centre chatterati. Hopefully Novara and Owen can keep getting on tv
Definition of a pledge:
1) a solemn promise or agreement to do or refrain from doing something
Dalia claims that Starmer has waited for "Tories to give him permission" regarding abolition of non-dom tax status @ 7:45. However this is incorrect. This pledge was announced by Labour in 2022 during the row over the tax affairs of Rishi Sunak's wife.
Keir's tiers.
Great point by Mike about the playing field
Don't don't trust Sir at all.
Putting a cap on child benefit alsi leads to many families putting a cap on the number of children they have ... leading to falling birth rates and as seen in many countries in Europe this is a cause of concern as this is a fall in the number of future work force, future tax payers, less people contributing to the public purse leading to less public services, pensions and so on.... so getting rid of the gap should be a priority!
you can"t have the goodies because you lost 14% of your income when you left the EU. there will be no investment without us being in the EU, if you keep putting tax and red tape on business and you need PR too
Why is everyone referring to Kid Starver as Keir Starmer? ... Very confusing
I had to skip big chunks of this show. Sorry, but long clips of Kid Starver talking is like asking your audience to drink a cup of cold sick. To summarise: Starmer pretends he isn't backed by the same Tufton St lobbyists as Truss by promising to do almost nothing.
Why doesnt starmer have outside rallies as his prededcessor did? Making s speech in front of your stooges and a few journalists and thanking them for clapping. Cringeworthy.
Proudly not voting Labour in the next GE
Little baby steps is it, Sir Keir?
What a snake oil salesman Starmer really is...utterly ghastly man.
I voted Green in the Local and County Council Elections. I will never vote for Labour again.
me too. can't hold my nose anymore.
Starmer: the human wind sock.
Starmer is so inconvincing.
Careful starmer. What u say
Great program!
~ great mood lighting on all fronts ~
New Labour pledge card was launched at same time as manifesto. We dont know when GE will be - waiting lists, for example, could have significantly worsened in matter of months so how can Labour say how quivkly they'll reduce if they have no idea when they might be in position to do so and how high they'll be at that stage? Also New Labour pledges weren't ambitious - they achievable within 5 year term.
If you would'nt believe anything Starmer says what is the point of analysing it?
Interesting that you think Beth Rigby's framing was good, also asopted by Chris Mason, is legacy media good now?
Nothing says levelling up like taking a shit in your drinking water....
Why aren't first steps as ambitious as 10 year missions? 🤦♀️
I prefer “Great.Leap Forward” myself. But “”First Steps”? No it doesn’t do it for me….😂…and that includes Stamer…..😂
Whoever has this idea of putting his very own MPs behind Starner... Their faces say it all - either bored, or spiritually away, or saying "what a lie..."
I love how they take their jackets off and roll their sleeves up....As if they are ready for a good tough day's work!...😂
They think we’re stupid, it’s that simple.
Dalia you are showing her!
It is true that the dialogue has moved so far to the right that now any idea or suggestion that is remotely socialist is labelled 'extreme left'. This is purely absurd.
Genocide supporter! All I see..
Stand with Israel 🇮🇱 ✊🏻
He's now saying it might take two terms for this?
Angela Eagle is despicable.
new Labor are the new Tories...
Step one, we can have lots of fun. Step two, there's more we can do. I think these lyrics are more enjoyable than anything Starmer has to say.
Cringe-Factor 10. what a rubbish actor
They got kicked out of Lebanon they did not leave on their own
Omg this guy just says words 🤦🏻♀️
Keir Starmer is seriously the worst.
Professor Pappé is not a terrorist.
"Big wheelbarrow of policies". Even rhetorically he is a clown.
These step, pledge, goals, etc.. Whatever marketing name they come up with are simply just that marketing. How can we belive a man that has written down promises many time and not followed through on any of them.
Stop showing Eagle!
He sounds scripted and insincere. The Guardian seem enamoured of him. He doesn't convince me I'm.afraid.
👍
It's Gordon the extremist again. I've noticed over the past few weeks you have had some rabid anti SNP. Guests. David Jamieson ! For one . How about some Ballance here?
Nelson Shardey is an exemplary citizen.
If you “can’t deliver” on ending child poverty, then you can’t run the country effectively. Starmer has essentially said “I can’t run the country”
What? Labour announced scrapping non-dom status way before Tories adopted it!
Israeli settlers were thrown out of Gaza. The resistance was was too strong.
So horrible having a man dying of cancer come out to support you when your intending to continue the conservative budgets and NHS privatisation which they know won't make it better for anyone else
Labour going right has just taught me to stop voting strategically to try to get the tories out and to just vote for what I believe in in the future.
Don’t you get it yet? 33:43 We want all of their land.
I misunderstood
My bad
@@twominutesturkish6664 No problem bro.
i was in wolverhasmpton my ass
He's right he's changed the labour party It's Not on the Left anymore
More austerity. 😢
No ambition!
This manifesto is less ambitious and arguably more fiscally righ wing than the tories in 2019. What a joke
Don’t you get it? He’s not changing the missions, these are a downpayment on the first steps of the missions. The goals stay the same, but you have to set out how you’re going to approach the first steps towards the goals toward the missions and as they grow closer you have to show the first steps your going to take to the missions or else the missions might run away or fall through, this is *just* a little downpayment so he can guarantee the first steps toward the second steps toward the missions, which by the way aren’t going to completely crumble on first contact with pressure, none of you can understand, the steps stay the same, the payment on the mission towards the goals towards the steps toward the missions will *always* stay the same, forever, and ever, fully costed, concrete pledges, i’m sorry steps, until at least next week
These politicians are so hateful
BNs vision is that of maintaining status quo & Israel security and dominance through suppression. It is not a valid way to produce a dignified peace for all, especially considering the validity of the Palestinian cause.
40:14 I’m not sure how it is in UK, but here in the States, the fluoride in the water can not be boiled away. It requires fancy multi stage reverse osmosis filtration system to get it out.
Why would you want flouride out of the water? We add it in for a reason.
@@wizzyno1566 I know the reasons, and they are not good. Research the topic. I’m serious.
@@iteerrex8166 we have researched the topic. Fluoride is perfectly safe at the concentration it is found in the water. Concentration is everything. You can probably find a tiny bit of cyanide in the water too, from decomposing apple seeds. It's dangerous but not at the dosage you'd find it there.
Also, of course you can't boil away a salt. That's basic GCSE chemistry. I don't wanna be a dick, but your comment heavily implies that you didn't know that. So what makes you think you're qualified to assess the safety of fluoride when you can't even understand the basic chemistry of the stuff?
And just FYI. You don't need to do reverse osmosis. You can also purify water using distillation. Much cheaper equipment if you still want to waste good money avoiding fluoride.
@@IshtarNike I’m not gona get into a debate here, but I’ll advice for your own sake, to research it further.
