What makes that pickup unique is 1989 was the first year for the extended cab short box & the last year for dual glass headlights. Rewind to 1988, extended cabs were first introduced but they only came in long boxes at the time.

Personally I don't like flowmasters most of the time but I agree the super 10s, and super 40s sound good on those TBI small block chevys

Try welding Two Cherry Bomb m-80s inline with 3-inch I put that on my Dodge and it sounds good and increase the fuel mileage with the original tailpipe it is 100% of original except for the two cherry bombs that are welded in line single exhaust 2004 Dodge 1500 hemi

@@FirstnameLastname-pe5ib There is no o2 bung on an 89 because it’s OBDI. 96+ vehicles with OBDII have rear o2 bungs behind the catalyst.
