Enjoyed your vid. We were there Saturday but didn't catch most of the bike start-ups. We also chatted to the Helite guy, we like those jackets. I know a former Triumph Test rider who says the jacket saved his life. Has a channel called Biker Buddy. Only the price stopped us buying two. Probably would go for the lanyard ones.
I have to say, up to now we had not given these jackets a second thought, personally I’m not a fan of the bright yellow, but a black more discreet one would appeal more to me personally. But why is it we are not all wearing these? There must be a reason why it has not caught on, it seems hard to argue against? I agree spending over a grand for two of these looks like allot of money…. However I suspect my helmet, Sena, and just one GoPro on my head costs close to that or more…. We do pay the money for these things we see the value in, and yet something that will apparently protect our spines seems expensive at £500 each. Odd isn’t it? We are intrigued to say the least
@On the road Ultimately we have to wear a helmet. Coms and cameras are fun. But none of us think we're actually going to crash. Daft really as both myself and Carol have independently crashed motorcycles. Honestly we think we should buy, but didn't as there are more fun things to spend money on. Motorbikes, motorbike holidays.....
@@Banditmanuk We will be giving them some consideration. I agree, there are far more fun things to spend money on, having said that, serious injury prevention for 500 quid seems like good value, certainly after the use any way! We will be looking into these some more and will come back with another video on them when we have the facts and will make a decision based on what we can learn
I've been wearing a Helite vest for years. I consider it as essential as my Arai. They are not cheap, so that hinders some, I'm sure. Yet I am still surprised at how few I see on the road.
These have definitely peaked our interest and we will be meeting soon with Helite to get more information and we will put out a full video on them. Other than the cost do you find any cons to them?
Somehow I find the older hikes more interesting than modern ones. Love this classic bike show
Unique almost, when compared to the bikes we ride now
Sun is shining for your ride to the Shelton mallet classic show, it always rains when I go!
