While watching your reaction I realized that you probably missed a little bit of dialogue from Mitsuri last episode.
She said something like “I can’t believe the Village was this close to where I was assigned” (don’t quote me on that lol)
Meaning that the forging of her sword probably ended fairly quickly and she actually leaved the village and was assigned to a (unknowingly) nearby location.
So probably, since the village is under attack, the crows and kakushis are probably instructed to just say “fck it” and bring as many people as possible to defend the village.
That’s why probably Mitsuri was surprised of the village's location.

Yes, I think her farewell to Tanjiro and Nezuko in ep.1 was actually her saying goodbye since she was leaving the village the next day and didn't expect to be back.
in manga, it was stated instead in her dialogue that it is Mitsuri village/district (place she lived at) instead of place she assigned. since swordsmith village location is a secret, she was shocked to know it was near to her place

Reading the manga, i thought Sun Halo Dragon Head Dance is just the same as Constant Flux, but Ufotable had to prove me wrong with this GODLY ANIMATION!!!!! It's as if ifs a coincidence i reacted almost exactly like Michael on that one bc its just so amazing😭😭😭
Ufotable really knows how properly show the weight of the attacks as compared to the manga. No diss on the mangaka, her art is really good. It's just that Ufotable knows how to present the attacks for maximum hype and impact.

Another thing I love other than the animation is the sound design. The way Hinokami Kagura sounds makes it seem like it's bitting the air itself. It sounds crisp and clean and really reflects the love Ufotable puts into their work
