About the mark only skilled slayers get it but you can only achieve it when your heart rate is above 200 BPM as well having your body temperature reaching over 39 Celsius,, but there is a consequence after achieving the mark which is living only until the age of 25.
Mitsuri doesn’t have a tragic backstory, but her story (given the cultural standards for women back then) is about finding purpose & self-acceptance. She says she joined the corps to find the baddest slayer (to marry) but sis put in the work and BECAME the baddest. AND I LOVE THAT FOR HER 😢🩷💚🩷💚

Gotta say of all the anime reaction youtubers you are probably my favourite. You don't just shout and pretend to care. The fact that you remember the names of characters, events, locations, concepts and even the names in japanese shows how much you really care and it feels like I'm watching along with someone who loves this series just as much as me.

This episode was insane as always ufotable COOKING! One thing I noticed was that Tanjiro said basically the same thing as he did to Akaza when he ran away, except it was Hantengu who was running. And just like Tanjiro threw the sword to Akaza, Genya threw the tree! Anyways next episode is 1 HOUR BE PREPARED!!!!

Mitsuris love breathing was animated beautifully, and in my opinion, they couldn’t have done it any better! And well her backstory isnt as big as a tragedy as the other Hashira, Mitsuris backstory was still kinda hard to watch as she was trying to be someone entirely different just for some guy to marry her, Im glad she found a place where people except her for who she is and a man who supports her
Its a good new pace tho, not everyone has their background of the story to be such a tragic. Im glad we also have those people that pretty much had a normal life

I think daki holds him back in a sense that all he wants to do is protect her he doesn’t care to eat people and grow stronger hence why he lives inside of daki and doesn’t come out unless she needs him for help I think thats really what muzan meant when he said that may be wrong though
Exactly, and also daki is his motivation for fighting and living in the first place, ppl tend to forget he wouldn’t have accepted becoming a demon if it wasn’t for daki dying like that in the first place.
Also he lent her one of his eyes, which to me signifies he lent her part of his power, and some evidence of this is that she can survive decapitation as long as he is alive

Having the mark will the Hashiras goal after Muichiro and Mitsuri got it. Well, the marks didn’t appear for years until Tanjiro manifested it again. It resonated among the demon slayers there after. It started with Muichiro then Mitsuri and then the others.

This episode was amazing! Both Mitsuri and Zohakuten is so cool. Zohakuten's abilities are also so powerful and cool. He's the strongest form and we can say that the true holder and reason for the Upper 4 rank for a reason. Mitsuri's flexibility and sword is amazing and I love her breathing style a lot. I won't spoil anything other than that the mark is indeed related to Yoriichi and every Hashira/demon slayer can get/unlock it. I'm kinda sad that the next episode is the last episode, I can't get enough of Demon Slayer, the animation, the voice acting, everything is mind-blowing!

In my Honest Opinion this episode was one of if not the best in Demon slayer so far!! What an amazing episode!! I was grinning ear to ear and jumping with excitement , Mitsuri is the best!! The animation was absolutely top notch and jaw droppingly great, the Love breathing forms and other attacks were so amazing!
I'm so glad Mitsuri has a more realistic, sad but not as tragic backstory and it was really interesting, How on earth could people not find her to be beautiful and adorable is beyond me, that dude was nuts lol. Mitsuri is the best DS waifu fs

My tear falls a bit unconsciously in the first couple of minutes in the episode just from the how good the animation sequence was, I never felt like this since ufotable's heaven feels

And yeah as you saw it , Obanai has feelings for Mitsuri and this is not even a spoiler cause its obvious after the flashback. And even that i readed the manga i don't even remember how they killing Hantengu. Anime is a very good memory refresh for me right now. I remember a lot of things from the manga but in the same time i forgot about a lot of things. Oh and yeah the marking is a interesting thing in the story. Can't wait for the next episode !
Rengoku was also Mitsuri’s mentor when she wasn’t quite hashira level. Her determination greatly reflects his.
Now that Genya’s ability is shown fully, we can see (if u didnt notice) that the each of the new kids in the same final selection with Tanjiro has an outstanding sense (Tanjiro - smelling, Zenitsu - hearing, Inosuke - touching, and Genya - taste), wont mention the last one since it may be counted as spoiler =))))

Yea it’s not just some simple shonen “power up” like ppl think it is, there is lore, meaning, and additional side effects added on, even zohakuten mentioned how they resemble “demon crests.”
Exactly. The additional things is basically the plot for one of the main fights in the Castle Arc. The double edge to it all. People aren’t ready for those battles. Also, next week too. I can’t wait :)

It just has an explanation like many other power ups, don’t take this too seriously + the demon slayer mark as we all know, will kill u once u reach 25, at least it’s balanced
A demon crest is what Daki had on her cheek. It's not a power up unlike the demon slayer mark and it was never really discussed in the manga, but i assume high level demons get it when they achieve greater power...an accessory really. Ah yes nezuko has one too lol those flower patterns.

I see why people say gyokko should’ve been 6 and gyutaro should’ve been 5. But we need to take In consideration and observe the scenario, gyutaro was fighting the 2nd weakest hashira along side weaker versions of tanjiro, zenitsu and inosuke, we gotta observe not just the demons power scale but also the slayers aswell, gyokko was fighting muichiro which in season 2 tengen stated his own talent wasn’t even close to that of other hashira like muichiro and gyomei. Gyokko was very powerful but muichiro was regaining his memories which led to gyokkos downfall due to muichiro unlocking the mark because of his memories coming back.

@Lee Brown fair points, but who’s to say even with the right circumstances/conditions matching in order to unlock a mark, I doubt uzui had the talent to awaken a mark, it doesn’t just come to anybody or any hashira, only the most talented ones that are also simultaneously experiencing life threatening situations and other physical conditions on top of that.

Misturi got her hair color from her favorite food. Apparently because of how much Sakura mochi she ate, since it was her favorite dessert her hair turned pink and green, the color of the food.❤

Gyokko can be deadly esp with his poison and those weird sea creatures and the skill to make whatever he touches transmutes into fish is a dangerous one esp in close range fight (imagine if a demon slayer's sword turns into fish, etc). Water prison pot can be deadly esp for demon slayers who rely on BREATHING techniques. Gyokko just met a hashira who is a bad match for him, marked Muichiro is just way stronger so even though we saw his true form but we couldn't fully see how dangerous he can be. If Gyutaro (upper 6) met marked Muichiro, he'll probably have similar fate like Gyokko. Also, Gyokko's weakness is his pride in his abilities and twisted works indeed so Muichiro's roasting skill is just too good that it triggered Gyokko a lot 😏 Stronger one doesn't always need to have flashy, dramatic, epic fights because they make one fight looks easy even against a strong opponent so it may look 'boring'. Well, Muichiro is calmer too so maybe in a way, his battle appeared to be calmer as well. If you can end the fight soon, no need to bother making it dramatic and 'entertaining'. It doesn't matter how strong they are, they're humans against demons who can regenerate. Sometimes it can be more efficient to end it faster. The fight was meant to hype up Muichiro and demon slayer mark more, not the Upper Moon. Previous seasons, the focus was more on the scary powers of the demons esp moon demons, like how hard it was to defeat even just one moon demon...but this season is more to show that esp with the demon slayer marks, it gives HOPE to gain upper hand against the stronger demons. Thus, it triggers the next arc...before final battle. Can't explain much but at this point of the story, the demon slayers are also confused about the mark. It will be explained more next...
Mitsuri is amazing here indeed and the animation for love breathing is beautiful. She is like fighting an opponent who won't die because it is not the main body. Her job is not to defeat the opponent but more like holding her opponent to protect those who will go for the main body. Her stamina will surely be lost if Tanjirou's group is not hurry with the main body. Mitsuri has more upbeat personality and it shows in her battle.

agree. if gyutaro and gyokko were to fight i think gyutaro would still lose.. remember, gyokko can almost teleport. with that speed and his ability to change everything he touches into fish, then gyutaro has no chance at all. I still think gyokko is stronger than gyutaro even if he ends up not being held back by daki. marked Mist Hashira just made it seem like gyokko is just an easy opponent but not at all. I mean, what do u all expect from a descendant of the legendary swordman who gave Muzan PTSD? 🤣. Of course Muichiro is very powerful like his great uncle. and he is still 14 yrs old. (spoiler alert). if only he made it up to 25 yrs old, he might have been the next legendary swordman. if only...
pretty sure that obanai didnt look at mitsuri while giving her the socks was because she gets excited easily and hes shy to look at her, and he looked at her through kaburamaru instead (his snake)

Wow Tanjiro has gotten stronger than the previous arc. Using the Hinokami used to take such a toll on his body, like when he faced Daki alone. Now in the Swordsmith Village arc, he's been using the Hinokami the entire time with no stress on his body like it used to. He hasn't used a single water breathing technique

Just like as a curiosity to leave clear some doubts, its kinda explained in an original manga spin off that mitsuri’s hair turned pink because she ate a lot of those pink fruits/candies (i dont really know what they are).
