- Halo Infinite is out and here we follow Master Chief as he goes to finish the fight against the covenant scum with a UNSC marine. Unfortunately said UNSC Marine passes away, and Chief and the Sergeant visit his wife's home to break the bad news. As a spartan, chief usually believes that you never die and are only missing in action, except this time around chief was responsible for the death of the marine (just like Cortana).

@@lpk6372The UNSC treats its marines as expendable. There are numerous instances throughout the Halo games where the marines are thrown into battle against overwhelming odds, in an isolated location, with no evac plan.
Delta Halo in H2 is a prime example. Marines are dropped on that ring with no evac plan. When the Prophet is killed and the Covenant arrives in force, nobody shows up to rescue them. Even Chief only survives because of Gravemind.

Why did this remind me of Halo infinite and how on the campaign if you call certain vehicles the Marines are so stupid they would stand directly under it and die immediately after the vehicle lands on them
I had one where I pushed him out of the way and then another one decided to run right under the vehicle that was dropping

I'm the exact opposite. 9 out of 10 times if I killed a marine I would reload my in my attempt to save them. The other 1 out of 10 is too late cause I hit a checkpoint.

We all know he really died because he was in a vehicle after chief took his weapon and shot a fuel coil he placed behind the vehicle, launching it skywards while chief grappled onto it. But the marine made it, before landing in that dig site with all the suicide grunts in it.
