I appreciate the support :) Oh I'm sure leather projects will be coming, I've got a good stash of leather to be used now and I love everything about that material. I've got a lot of 3D printing related stuff planned to come out soon too. Thank you for the comments and I hope you enjoy the content!

I must of missed it, but what software did you use to do the 3d rendering? And did it help you with the box joints? or did you hand create each one?

Hey Josh, I use SolidWorks as my design software. To my knowledge it doesn't have any specific finger joint features, but its parametric relations and creative mirroring/patterning can drastically cut modeling time down. Let's say I am making finger joints between 2 sheets, generally I will just model the 2 rectangles first, overlapping, but keeping them as separate bodies. Then at the midpoint of one, create a single joint cut, and then pattern it in both directions at whatever spacing feels right. Then I can reference those joints on the second piece to make the alternating cuts. This way, the entire edge of finger joints all reference the one cut that was made first. That way any adjustments can be made in one place and be reflected everywhere. I would bet that most modeling software would allow this logic, not just SolidWorks. And I've found with my Glowforge that with the right power level (not full power, usually the 100 setting) that the joints fit together just right with no kerf offsetting in the design, that has also made modeling easier for me. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the interest! Right now, I don't have the files up for sale, but I am looking into how I can sell my design files in the near future. I plan to make all of my designs available. I'll try to remember to come back to this comment to let you know when they are available.
