Oh My Goodness! Pretty purple polish, playful painting, terrific techniques, super stamps, and a darling die! This video has it all!
What a blessed brain you have - so many different amazing ways to use our products! No wonder it needs to take a little break every now and then - needs time to recuperate. You are truly one of one in our world.
Bravo! Absolutely brilliant! I love when you do technique's that don't require the purchase of special supplies, like specific stamp sets, etc., in order for me to try. I like that this technique can (kind of) take the place of a jelly plate. Thanks, Jen! Beautiful work, Jen, Collin and Lila! Thanks for sharing! 😊
My granddaughter and I had a ball making tons of these backgrounds last night! Such a simple and fun way to created some "magic" with just paint! Thank you!
WOW I have been a paper crafter for a LONG LONG TIME...and have never seen this technique before...I will be doing this very soon...thank you sooo much for sharing your talent with us. I NEVER miss a video of your's!
Wow! You have really outdone yourself this time .... so many different cards from the same ideas! Each one is super special. These would make a boxed set a very special gift for someone who loves going to a carnival. Thanks for sharing such exciting (and easy) ideas!
Absolutely fantastic...great lesson...paint dragging...like using a squeegee in screen painting. Jennifer you are the leader in techniques...Your brain must be going all day and night for all the great things and techniques you come up with. It's always exciting coming here as I never know what we are going to be treated too.. But I do know one thing...it will be good...it's Jennifer.... thank you for all your hard work and sharing. You are a real giver...share share share...thank you .........pat
Ah ha!!!! A fun hot mess!! Reminds me of when we were kids! I absolutely love the results!
You ALWAYS amaze me! Especially loved the blue paint background where you put blobs of paint all over to start out. If you did it in greens, it would like evergreen shrubs/trees!
Great colorful paint technique! Beautiful cards Jennifer! TFS! God bless!!
Gave me an idea of a new way to prep and spread paint on a gel pad. Can hardly wait to try that. Thanks again Jennifer. You're a wizard!
I bought some acrylic paint ages ago but have never been brave enough to use it. This has given me the confidence to try it. I loved all your backgrounds & didn't even realise how long it was. Mesmerizing to watch, thank you so much for all your hard work in bringing us all your amazing videos!
I bought rainbow colors of acrylic paints to deco trim for my craft room. Was going to give it away after I purchased all of DIna Wakley’s paints for my journal BUT now will keep (at least for awhile) and use dragging technique for card backgrounds. I LOVE making my own backgrounds. I usually use Bristol paper & Dyan Reaveley’s acrylic paints. Now I’ll use them all. I’ll use Mixed media or Bristol papers tho. Thanks for giving me a great idea of crafting while I’m dog sitting next week. I’ll get 80 or so dome so I’m ready to make cards when I return home. I plan to make about 60 or so using alcohol inks as well. Much appreciated!!!!
Wow those backgrounds make those silhouette stand out. You have such a huge knowledge of all kinds of techniques I can not ever miss one of your video. Your talent amazes me and thanks to I have to have this kit. Grandma Leslie
Super amazing ideas. I’m calling you Jennifer “Inspire” ! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Another great idea Jennifer! Wow how creative and prolific of a crafter you are! I envy your ability to think outside the box! Thanks for sharing your tips and tricks! So much fun to watch you in action!
Jennifer nothing you do is simple.. They are amazing!
Paint dragging is one technique I will definitely try. All of your backgrounds are fantastic. I love the new die in this kit. Your many examples using it are really inspiring. Thanks again.
I absolutely loved all the ideas in this jammed packed tutorial. I really have to admire that mind of yours as week after week it is chugging out such creative inspiration for us. Hats off to you lady for all the work and time it takes to put these videos out. Labor of love I am sure.
Oh this was wonderful! I love how your videos not only include the technique, but also show how you turned them into cards because it means I learn so many things in one video!
For example, I clicked on this video to learn about paint dragging. But I not only learned about that, I also learned about a bunch of ways to get more use out of background dies, tips for shaker cards, tips for heat embossing, tips for getting (and removing!) shimmer... and many other things!
Love your work, Jennifer!
❤️❤️❤️
This technique looks so fun! I bet the kids loved it! And thanks for showing how to stretch the dies. :)
not only will this be great for cards but it has inspired some ideas for my art journal thank you so much for sharing this awesome technic and all the family can do this together

I love the paint dragging technique. So many possibilities and tips to make creative backgrounds that look perfect for the Hero Arts kit. Thank you!
This will be my favorite technique, as I love to paint and have tons of different colors!! Thanks for all your brilliant ideas!!
Thank you for the idea of using up my paint on paper!! I've done what you call dragging on wood and slate signs as a background and then paint a ocean with lighthouse, ships or palm trees with beach items free hand! I will paint backgrounds
to use when my ordered arrives along with my June's beach set and mermaid stamp sets!!
Love the technique and I have lots of paint...the cards turned out fantastic...well done Jennifer and tfs
I’m so glad you showcased the Hero Arts monthly kit, now I will know what do do with mine when it comes. The cards are beautiful as always!
What a fabulous technique! Such gorgeous backgrounds you created in no time at all. So creative!! Tfs
I love this technique. I've been doing it with my bible journaling for a few years. I love it with neon paints.
Fun cards with a fun technique. I'll have to give it a try. TFS your creativity with us.
OMG!! I’m on vacation right now and away from my crafting stuff. I can’t wait to get home and try this!! TFS
Thank you Ms Jennifer. Always can depend on you for inspiration on those uninspired days! Great job!
At a glance of the thumbnail I thought this was your standard ink blending- with distress inks BUT was over the moon when I realized it was a new technique using paints! Can not wait to try this....and to try some of your creative uses of the new Hero Arts kit.
Great ideas and techniques. Your cards are great and love the painted backgrounds. TFS
thanks so much for showing the versatility of those dies. Paint dragging looks fun too.
I really love your videos Jennifer, you are a good teacher. One of the best on TH-cam. thank you
This was a really fun video to watch...and learn from! I love the paint dragging technique and can't wait to try it with some Christmas cards. The deep blues and purples will make beautiful night-time backgrounds for snow and the reds and greens...well I don't need to explain!
I have learned a lot by watching your video's, so keep them coming!
I love how you share how to make backgrounds for different cards I am new to card making and have been watching your channel as you have so many cool things you have been sharing Love Love you ideas Thank you
Super amazing cards and technique sure will give it a try in the near future. Gorgeous backgrounds and love the stamp and die cut set. Thank you for sharing another fantastic video, Jennifer always a pleasure learning something new for making a background for handmade cards.
I know I am repetitious but every time I watch your videos the word amazing comes to mind. Today it’s double amazing if that is possible.
Loveeee!!!!! What awesome ideas! I used to paint before paper crafting and have tons of acrylic paint left to use!
“Paint dragging” looks so much more interesting that it sounds! LOL Must pick up a few acrylic paints and give it a try, especially since I can also experiment with using them on my gel plate. Thanks for the occasional reminder about partial die cutting, it really opens up possibilities.
Thank you Jennifer , for such creative ideas! I love the way your mind works! I have to try these! 🙋♀️💕
Jennifer, you are just amazing!! You just keep taking every technique to the nth degree! Unbelievable!! 😮
Hard to stop when you are having fun dragging paint. Great to have the kids doing it too.
I have been saving this technique to show my 8 y/o and 11 y/o granddaughters. Finally, we were able to do this today and they loved it -- and did an amazing job! Would love to post pics - but, not sure if that is possible through this response. Next step is putting the cards together after everything dries. Such fun to be able to do creative things with them that gives them a finished product they are excited to send to teachers and friends! Thank you!
What a simple yet really pretty way to make backgrounds. I have quite a bit of acrylic paint & I am a subscriber to the Hero arts kit. Last month will be a year & I think there were only 2 kits I probably would not have purchased had I not been a member. Well worth not worrying if I will get to the web site before they sell out. A wonderful value as well. Hero arts rocks & so do you!
Thanks so very much. Truly enjoyed today's video. I love everything you do. I'm a huge fan. Today was special. I have a bunch of acrylic paints and always look for ways to use them - today's technique is super cool. I'll rest the brayer and gel plate. This is easier and provide marvelous results.
I loved this, I use acrylic paints a lot in crafts and finding another technique for them is always great. I used four different metallic or pearlescent colours and got four backgrounds in as many minutes. The last one blended too much and was a bit boring so after it had dried I ran it through the Big Shot with an embossing folder. It looked beautiful after that!
Hey, Jennifer! OH, WHAT FUN! LOVE the “paint dragging” technique A LOT....SIMPLE, but what an impact and a wealth of “backgrounds” ready to go!! FUN, FUN!! The die-cutting ideas are SUPERB, too. I also appreciate the “shimmer”, “shakers”, and embossing tips you shared, too! Partial die-cutting is SO NEAT! BTW, an “idea”.....for rectangles of different widths = possibly using a “banner die” (which often come in sets w/variety of widths) and doing the “partial die” technique!! Again, “magical” video!! TFS, n’ HAPPY STAMPIN’ n’ CREATIN’! :-))
Just love your ideas Jennifer. Gorgeous cards love the paint dragging you are so inspiring. Thanks for sharing.
I really enjoy your videos. I just discovered you and have been watching as many as I can. I love the amount of examples you give, how you go into detail and give more then one way of doing things. Allows people like me who don't have the same supplies experiment. Thank you for the inspiration !!!
Awesome Video Jennifer! I really like the idea of using paint drops to make backgrounds on cardstock!! Your cards are beautiful!! Thank you so much for sharing this video........you are so talented.....I love watching your videos!!!
Wow another awesome idea with great results. Thanks for shwing me how to do it. Love to you and family.
Omg seriously!! I've become addicted. SO much fun and beautiful combos. I used a grill scraper on some and an offset spatula with wiggles. Endless possibilities. Thank you. (I think). Warm regards from Michigan.
Pretty cool. Thank you for the acrylic painting technique. Your talent is amazing!
Wow the colours are just beautiful. Love this technique!
I love the painted background, another way to incorporate my many art supplies! I also love the the ideas for extending the background dies🤗😋Thank you for sharing!!!🙋🏾
My hubby was captivated by this... I had your video playing in the background and we were talking and he said," Look at what that woman is doing, that is pretty neat !" LOL.. he is not a crafter but he thought your technique was pretty cool..... and I agree !!!
Hi Nyoka, try taking your husband to the next stamp show you attend. He may enjoy some of the make and takes and may just have some hidden crafting talent after all. My husband of 44 yrs. has shared in our card making from the start...a great couples hobby!
Your techniques are just fantastic. I do not believe you made a video that I did not watch. If ever I wish to find out how to do something - I look up your videos first. Thank you for all of your knowledge and expert video teaching. I just received my new kit and can’t wait to try it! Thank you Jennifer for your great videos!
You could also put another piece of paper under the first piece of paper to catch the overflow and continue the effect. Beautiful backgrounds! Hugs from North Carolina

Wonderful idea, want to try this as soon as I can- thanks for showing how to do this !
I love all the cards that you make.
Oh my gosh! This is genius! A couple of months ago, I wanted to paint something with my acrylic paint. It was dry and hard as a rock. I realized many of my paints were aprox. 40 to 50 years old. I got new ones and swatched them and then wished i had something to do with them for my cardmaking. I have so so many colors. So many times I wish for some idea and then you come up with ideas! I'm so blessed to have you! Thank you so much for all you do for us! Hugs, treen
Very fun technique. Now I have to check to see if my paints are usable!😂 thanks for sharing.
