Well, I'm not surprised because exactly one year I had a similar experience in the hand of someone who claims to be conversant with the law of the place we are, unknown to me that she went behind to betray me. I endorsed the "said" documents and lost the job and it's rewards. I was blamed for everything. So I learnt my lesson once again, to seek for help in more than one person. I endorsed due to her insistence that she is a citizen and knows every law. If not language challenges then, I wouldn't have become her victim.
