It wasn't better for the story for the Hulk to not show up at the end of IW, it was disappointing. I don't know what the Russo Brothers were on when it came to the Hulk, but their creative decisions with that character are baffling. They admitted last summer they had no clue what to do with the Hulk, which is why their portrayal in IW and Endgame is so disappointing to Hulk fans. I wish Ruffalo would just admit they botched the Hulk badly in those movies and stop defending it.
