    You answered the question I had: I wondered if you could land that little tear drop of gravel in your outtro with 2 people. But landing it is less of the issue than getting back into the air.

    Great video Greg! Consider doing a quick interview with your pax next time so we get to know them as well. Also adds a little flavor to the video. Cheers

    Need more of that over the left shoulder footage! Love seeing inside the cockpit during TO/L, especially with the configuration reminders on the screen (1st notch, 2nd notch etc.) Great Vids!

    What a fun idea! Congrats to Grant for getting to ride along and kudos to you Greg for making dreams come true. You know I’d dig a ride in that beautiful Super Cub. Time is the issue these days. Hopefully at some point it’ll work out.

    So great to follow your adventures! I have a kind of a laymans quiestion, probaly a silly one at that lol. If you ever get to much resistance on your tires landing like in wet sand, and you risk flipping over. Can you save the plane by giving a short burst with your throttle with full up elevator to force the tail down, or is that just going to send you over faster? Hope to see the Super Cub back in the air soon! All the best!

    • @mauleguy
      @mauleguy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes if you are quick enough with power you can stop it unless the resistance is just to great.

    I live in Valdosta, Georgia, literally ten minutes from Moultrie where the Maule Aircraft factory is. I really should go visit sometime.

    • @mauleguy
      @mauleguy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you should, I was there in around 2000. Pretty amazing how they produce airplanes, was not a lot different from the way I do it. One off!

    I would love to get an in cockpit knowledge dump from you! I've got a '56 PA-18A model that I've only been able to fly 20 hours this year due to work (helicopter pilot pays the bills...) I sit and watch your vids during down time and wish I was in your shoes! Keep on inspiring us and producing this awesome content!

      Well grass is always greener, I have wanted to go add on a helicopter rating. Just can't figure out how to support that one. :))

  • @teamvanwyck9072
    @teamvanwyck9072 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    The views Grant filmed from the back were an interesting addition - along these lines have you tried putting a camera on your helmet? It would give closer approximation of your perspective and how you "think ahead of the airplane" on approach and landing.
    Thanks for posting.
