I would suggest a dps sayu (Mained her after losing 5050 from raiden banner in anger) Team comps I suggest are characters like Xiangling kaeya Barbara kuki (basically their burst/e revolves around the character and sayu can just roll roll roll) Sayu hits like a truck while healing+swirling
I used to main sayu on early ARs and she helped me a lot while exploring and raising my characters! I now use electro charge + swirl / burning + swirl with sayu as swirler!
Sayu next? She's so slept on, especially with the new possibility of acting as a hyperbloom driver by rolling with Barbara's/Kuki's skills around enemies affected by dendro She's super fun to explore with, she's fast and her heal is honestly amazing if you invest into her....my sayu heals over 5k per tick at level 80, vv set and with burst level 8...and her damage is decent too So yea...Sayu next??

It's a team filled with four of my favorite characters so seeing you using them and enjoying them makes me really happy ^^ (If anyone else wants to try this team, it also works with Xingqiu and Collei/Dendro MC as the 4 stars alternative, though I think Nahida is still the best dendro slot). Your comment about EM Razor makes me happy too since you are very right, his EM build is so much fun to use compared to his normal physical build (did you know there's a currently pretty popular teamcomp called Rainbow Razor that uses C6 Bennett in place of Layla for that extra burgeon/burning/overload/vape? Since you built that EM Razor and also have C6 Bennett, do give it a try) But-- this is a video about Layla, and I'm once again truly happy you are building and using her in many team comps since she's such a good unit as shielder and cryo applicator. Was initially wondering if you're ever gonna build her with 2pc Blizzard/2pc Tenacity for the extra damage like some people do but it does make her shield slightly weaker than if you're using 4pc totm with full HP substats. All in all, this is a really great video! ^^
@@lenawbr1773 Oof this is kinda a hard question because the gimmick for the Shatterbloom and Rainbow Razor works exactly because of Razor's kit. His burst lets him do consistent bludgeon/heavy attack, physical dmg, and electro dmg in one swing. I imagine Beidou can be used since she's also an electro claymore, but maybe to different capacity (I don't build her so I'm not really sure how accurate this gonna be, but you can try as long as you build your Beidou w/ EM build). An alternative I can think of rn and kinda want to try is to replace Razor with Freminet and then replace Layla or Bennett with either Fischl, Yae, or Beidou as the electro sub-dps. I think it might work, but some adjustment definitely is needed.
From one no main to another, just enjoy your time with all the characters. The building part to have everyone mediocre is a nightmare, but the freedom of choosing anyone you want to use for anything rather than feeling stuck to one or two specific ones feel really freeing to me

shes my main shielder on my alt, i dont even plan on getting zhongli cause her shield is so good haha. especially w a freeze team. she has 35k hp and 200er
Melt is actually better than vaporize (melt is 2x damage while vape is 1.5x), so for Layla in that Hu Tao team you just get more damage and free freezes for some CC! Oh also, since her skills scale on HP, the 5 star weapons you said were pretty important actually aren't! While those weapons are very good on her, since she doesn't care about attack and has a shield, the 3* weapon Harbinger of Dawn is actually typically best in slot At R5, which is really easy to get for a 3* gacha weapon, you get 46.6% crit rate and 28% crit damage, much more crit value than PJC Also just a note, in a freeze team on 4pc Blizzard Strayer the PJC puts Layla's Crit rate over 100% by quite a bit, but HoD (Harbinger of Dawn) has the perfect amount of Crit rate to not overcap! You need to stay above 90% hp to get the crit rate, but that's pretty easy since Layla has a good shield The reason why this weapon is so good on her (and even on other characters like Alhaitham) is because Layla doesn't care about the low base attack, since none of her talent that really matter scale off on ATK. Crit scales better than HP or ATK on almost any character too, so you're getting a LOT more damage. My Layla has 255 Crit damage to 45 Crit rate with 30,000 HP still! It's good on characters like Alhaitham too for this same reason, even though Alhaitham scales with ATK directly. Because he has split scaling with EM and is a spread character, you don't need that much ATK, and Crit scales both your spread damage and your talent damage. This makes Crit much better than ATK rather than just a little better The HoD is typically the best in slot for sword characters with non ATK scalings! (In Alhaitham's case 5* weapons are ever so slightly better because he does care a bit about the base attack)

I have a C6 triple crown Layla, because i wanted to dedicate one character to co-op stuff. She's pretty neat, and even without the HP swordies, does keep folks alive. Also she's lore wise fun :D
Yeah I have Layla on an EXP team w Ayato, newly added Yun Jin and Sayu. They make a wonderful freeze team. I barely have to touch the enemies if all their burst are up (save for Yun Jin of course) as they are practically an AFK team heheh. Glad you had fun with her! :D Let's see who you main next!

As a fairly new player who is a Layla main, i love her so much. She is a great character and i love her idle animations, and since i got Barbara for free i put her in my team and now i just switch between the 2 to freeze enemies over and over again and that helps a lot, as well as the fact that Barbara is a healer and i also have kuki in my team whose elemental something (idk which one is the burst i forgor) both heals and does electro dmg, id say for a team of a new player that its pretty cracked and its mostly bc of Layla and Barbara
I went through a lot of pain to get Layla on my secondary since I lost my 50/50 to the cricket bat and had no one to put this on. She's pretty nice! I love the clang noises of her NA chain too. My favorite team with her is Wanderer, Yelan or Kokomi, Layla, flex (I normally go for dendro for fridge or cryo for resonance). It's really fun for exploration and domains. I got her c1 on standard so I really should co-op with her more
9:21 The reason is that candace is level 1 and has very low DEF, and that's why the Shield taked more damage. Basically if a character has high defense, their shield will for example take 1000 damage from and attack. But if the same shield was on a character with lower defense l, the shield would take 1500 damage. All the numbers above are examples and not accurate
Honestly I feel layla was robbed somewhat in not being a catalyst user. Being a sumeru researcher definitely made her seem more bookwormish then sword so it just kinda feels shoehorned in that she was sword over catalyst. She would have been the first cryo catalyst as well

I love how he’s basically using my main team. I’m a Chongyun main but I added Layla once I got her cause he’s so squishy. She was absolutely perfect- my team is Chongyun, Xingqiu, Layla and Kazuha.
As a layla main I always love just sleeping in domain coop specially in scara boss fight 2nd phase where I just sleep and give shield at the middle of the battlefield while scara tries to target me and kill but fails
I don't have a main either, I just play what I like at the moment, mostly archons on a field day trip. Currently I like blowing stuff up with Nilou, and sometimes even with ayakas freezing time = her forehead - never ending.
Interesting journey, man. I also tried Layla, even got her to 80 lvl with 1/8/8 talents, but she is quite weak, LBH. My favourite team comp is mono cryo so far: Ayaya Shenhe Layla Kazuha.
Id say you could try dps collei, or sub dps. Some builds i have could be hyperbloom: collei, tighnari/dendro traveler, nilou, and kuki. But for aggravate: collei, tighnari/ dendro traveler, any two electro, but id say beidou, and kuki/ raiden, but any dendro character with collei, and any two electro should be fine
As a cryo main (yes you read this right, I hyper invest and pull on all cryo characters. 5 stars get their signature weapons and 4 stars get c6) I love seeing Layla getting the spotlight. Layla >>>>>>>>>> Zhongli. Fight me about it!!!

I didn't know she was pretty rare, because I got her in the Standard Banner last week. I'm currently making an Ayaka team and was thinking of using her on my freeze team instead of Kaeya.
Mine is ; Melt +. Superconduct + frost team , Arlechino Main Dps, Layla for support , Xinqchu for hydro damage , cryo application and additional defence buff, Baidou for elctro superconduct, you dont need Healer as Arlechino is on Field so she heals herself. Best best team , You can alwasy change baidou with healer like bennet.
layla is one of my fav characters i just WISH her shield was a little longer, the 12s is really rough sometimes even though its technically 100% uptime
I guess I got lucky in standard banner. I didn't even know she was uncommon but I have C5 Layla and she's the only reason I complete bosses / domains without taking barely any damage.
I got Layla when she first showed up and Zhongli has been sitting on the bench since. This was an amazing video. bulding my c-4 layla atm, she is already over 40k hp thanks to the unwanted 5 star nilou sword i got on weapon banner, going to replace my diona with her as my 2nd shielder after Zhongli.
I got Layla for free from the secret summer paradise (if i spelled it wrong, im sorry) and I didnt use her until i got to the fight with signora because i really needed a shield.. after that fight, i built her and now she's always in my team.. she's like the zhongli that i decided to skip.
seeing you play almost the same team as me, even maybe worse than my team from a meta standpoint, doing the same exact damage, and 36*ing made me realize maybe im just bad at the game maybe thats the problem
Im glad razor is getting more love with Hyperbloom etc. I've mained razor since day 1, even Elemental Razor. I didn't and still don't like Physical Units and Dendro made my Razor even stronger!
i currently main Layla; i love her as both DPS in cryo or phys. but like on co-op people had been trying to insult me and my layla in portugese. if someone every puts you down when you play as layla on co-op, they usually say "e isso e ruim kkk" or "e ruim kk" which refers to calling you a scum or like you suck/horrible player or her as a horrible character . _ .; so far it had been from meta Ei mains. their Ei was really weak compared to my Layla, it's wild- her Shield is awesome! i sadly only have her at C0.

I started using her in a hyperfridge team consisting of Ayato, Kuki and Nahida, this team is invincible and does so much damage.

I think i have a main suggestion 1 sayu 2 zhongli 3 diona 4 yelan i just pick a really strong character and a strong sheilder (like zhongli)
I didn't know she was pretty rare, because I got her in the Standard Banner last week. I'm currently making an Ayaka team and was thinking of using her on my freeze team instead of Kaeya.
Mine is ; Melt +. Superconduct + frost team , Arlechino Main Dps, Layla for support , Xinqchu for hydro damage , cryo application and additional defence buff, Baidou for elctro superconduct, you dont need Healer as Arlechino is on Field so she heals herself. Best best team , You can alwasy change baidou with healer like bennet.

As a Razor main, I've never thought of shatter hyperbloom. This gave me an idea... I don't have Nilou or Layla, so I'll use Xingqiu and Chongyun
I guess I got lucky in standard banner. I didn't even know she was uncommon but I have C5 Layla and she's the only reason I complete bosses / domains without taking barely any damage.
Lucky you for getting 2 drops from the boss. Me, most of the time , it's always 1.

bulding my c-4 layla atm, she is already over 40k hp thanks to the unwanted 5 star nilou sword i got on weapon banner, going to replace my diona with her as my 2nd shielder after Zhongli.
If only Layla's shield duration is a little bit longer than its cooldown. I'm so used to Zhongli's long shield duration.

As someone who is poor and Zhongliless I use Layla as my main shielder especially when I use scara.

I got Layla for free from the secret summer paradise (if i spelled it wrong, im sorry) and I didnt use her until i got to the fight with signora because i really needed a shield.. after that fight, i built her and now she's always in my team.. she's like the zhongli that i decided to skip.
seeing you play almost the same team as me, even maybe worse than my team from a meta standpoint, doing the same exact damage, and 36*ing made me realize maybe im just bad at the game maybe thats the problem

Im glad razor is getting more love with Hyperbloom etc. I've mained razor since day 1, even Elemental Razor. I didn't and still don't like Physical Units and Dendro made my Razor even stronger!
i currently main Layla; i love her as both DPS in cryo or phys. but like on co-op people had been trying to insult me and my layla in portugese. if someone every puts you down when you play as layla on co-op, they usually say "e isso e ruim kkk" or "e ruim kk" which refers to calling you a scum or like you suck/horrible player or her as a horrible character . _ .; so far it had been from meta Ei mains. their Ei was really weak compared to my Layla, it's wild- her Shield is awesome! i sadly only have her at C0.
