I am still waiting for my 16 pro and I went to Best Buy to check this case out and I really like it BUT two things that I am not sure on is the new cut out like you stated also it seems to be a dust magnet. Let me know your thoughts on that.
I have this case. The cut out gets lots of hate, but I actually like it. I hold my phone in my left hand a lot and a finger just settles in on of the of the sloped sides. Also, surprisingly not a dust magnet at all. My favorite part is how I can confidently place it face down on any flat surface. The top and bottom edges of the case are thicker than the rest and keep the screen elevated quite a bit from ever touching a surface.
I like the case except for the new camera button area unprotecting the glass with the perfect angle drop. The white circle and line seems to be vinyl covered and peel off, should those be removed for the mag-safe charging feature?
With the Otterbox Defender XT case it is a real pain in the ass because you have to put the phone in upside down in its holder or it will fall out because of the stupid notch to access the new camera button.
That is not how you put the phone in that case. You have to take the outer layer off, then open the case, put the phone in, close it, then put the outer layer back on. Tryig to break your phone or the case day 1
