One feature/mod I'd really love is the ability to integrate service buildings into office skyscrapers. E.g. Police stations, community colleges, that take up office space, rather than have a dinky building right in the middle of high rise central.
Maybe get subway hooked up in this huge populated new area? Maybe instead of huge parking lots, how about underground parking so the ground level could be something other than concrete for more cars? Very happy to see you place the large capacity automated parking garage. Sorry, but I find parking lots and cars lining the streets everywhere less attractive than trees and greenery.
I was thinking the same for the underground parking! It would be awesome to get some of the parked cars away from the roads. Maybe even force them to use only the provided parking spaces for the new downtown area?
When using lane connector tool on asymmetrical roads, after removing uturns, if you click on the dotted line 2 times to make it solid, it cleans up the lane markings and helps with merging into the new lane
In my city there is a park about a block wide and 3km long meandering through the borough. Absolutely fantastic to get your steps in going there and back again instead of doing boring small rounds.
7:45 I think you might be reading the demand descriptions wrong. I figure a + means a low number of unoccupied buildings is increasing demand, and a - means a high number is decreasing demand. That's why your unemployment rate is so low: 1.8% is indeed very low!
Maybe you should convert the two bridges crossing the main road leading directly to the cathedral. If they were tunnels instead of bridges, you could keep the connectivity between the two neighborhoods, but you would regain the views of the cathedral as you drive into the city.
With lane connector more often than not rather than one lane going to 2 lanes in one direction, you are better to keep it to 'one lane to one lane(inside lane)' and use that to your advantage so that traffic from another direction can turn into the other lane so both lines of traffic dont want to use the same lane. will have to watch your light changes and the junction situation itself to determine which directions your are wanting them to not do that. So sorry its difficult to explain. But honestly in most situations, this is beneficial.
I really like the building with commercial at street level and residential above. Placing a few in the city hall area around the edges maybe? Missing a dog park too.
Thinking about it this cs 2 is missing entertainment zone like cs1. The city part could use nightclubs. Coffee shops, restaurants maybe an art gallery.
Lookin good, honestly the only critique I have is the automated parking lot obstructing the view of the corridor, I'd say to just move it over to a side of the corridor
The custom built road (2 travel lanes + tree median + 2 tram track lanes) shown at around @32:05 has parking on both edges of the road, but it makes no sense for cars to jump the median, cut across the tram tracks to then park.
Biffa: I'm going to add lots of paths for walk ability. Also Biffa: I'm going to delete this one, this one, that one and these 4 for the buildings I really, really like. Same Biffa, same. That new area looks awesome!
Might want to take a look at that custom tram on the side road because it looks like the parking is next to the tram lanes and not the car lanes, which doesn't make a lot of sense.
Absolutely wonderful the colours on those high rise buildings. I did notice that even though you have such a high population your office demand is low, I believe that is due to the lack of internet infrastructure that you currently have and the mail plays a pretty important part in the offices wanting to come to your city. Otherwise looking great keep up the good work!
I want to have this game SO BADLY but I don't have the funds for a gaming laptop. Will definitely hop on your discord for the mods when I've saved up enough for the game :)
With MoveIt!, you can now click on segments (as well as nodes) and press Ctrl+H and it will flatten the segment to the height of the node, which helps get rid of some of the lumpy-bumpyness.
I would make some skyscrapers deliberately 2x6, 3,6 and 4x6 to break the same big one that pops up. That will definitely make some variety here and there.
Can also connect the other road you left near to the water treatment area I think and remember to add some metro, buses, trams, and taxis as well as some post boxes and interent tower and maybe a welfare office too - also can't wait for the university expansion as well as maybe a quick beautification of those castle ruins beside the new road connection across the river
Lovely expansion.... Next episode mass transit plz.... All the tall buildings look so homogeneous.. a little difference in height might make the area more visually attractive...
33:26 When using the painting tool, if you click on the 🎨 symbol....while you have selected the building/object you want to clone. You can paste that buildings color to other buildings by just single clicking them❤. Love the video, your channel and your content 😇. Greetings from Holland 🇳🇱
Probably commenting too late to get noticed, but a little village along the river just off that new road would be good, could call it River Dell or something.
Biffa I have to say sir I'm extremely impressed with this city design that you were doing and it's looking more amazing each time you share it with us. Also I am eternally grateful for you and all the other content creators Who got together and spoke with the developer and making this game better and hopefully maybe one day I can have a new computer that can support this game and get back to playing it. Biffa thank you again for everything that you do sir and God bless to you and your entire family and all your friends as well. Also please try to stay safe and well because we need you very much.
21:10 No no no no no.. You need 3 lanes with left turn possibility. When the lights turn green, each lane counts for 25% of the total flow. You see that at least 60% of the traffic turns left there. I will introduce the term flowmathematics in your video's. And I hereby grand you the copyrights. 👍
I am trying to play this game but I wish I understand what keybinds you are using and how some mods worked better. Like I don’t know how you force lanes to not merge with the lane manager tool, I don’t see what keybind is doing that. And for terraforming I can’t tell how you get it to flatten without building massive canyons into the ground
Just back from the morning dog walk and perfect timing...BIFFA Time...A cup of...COFFEE and a good Biffa New Brewberg video. Very nice looking new area you made there...looking forward to see next episode hopefully before the beavers return..;)
Before I watched biffa , I never played or watched anything to do with city skylines or city building but I watch you now and I'm taken away by some amazing things you do like the town hall area in this episode I'm just mind blown
Hey biffa, i would suggest you make the zone more mixed, because now it is too dense and looks too "perfect". If you look at central park for example, there isnt only high density buldings, but theyre mixed with medium density buildings and it looks very nice, but in your city for example it looks too cramped and it just doesnt look that good when everything is at the same height.

Don't forget to extend the metro into the new area
One feature/mod I'd really love is the ability to integrate service buildings into office skyscrapers. E.g. Police stations, community colleges, that take up office space, rather than have a dinky building right in the middle of high rise central.
Also some mixed use high density and possibly remove the extension limit for some buildings would be nice.
Metro stations that have exits in the ground floor of buildings!

Feels unreal when Biffa says the solution is "one more lane"
😂
@@shilohholtzman7988, so why that flag? Is it because that country is building a big wide road through the dessert, flattning everything in its way?
@@davidcampbell2143 No its them being sectarian buggers bringing politics into cities skylines because r2deszki has a Palestinian flag as their pfp

Perfect timing! Cup of hot tea and a couple of shortbread biscuits on a plate at the ready.
Perfect!

3:01 Omg. The school and park are RIGHT there behind that stop. Please stop the torture Biffa 😅

Did anyone notice that notre dame is a massive fire risk. Surely a developer joke!

Loving the CS2 content. I’m loving your mass transit in this city! Wife just enjoys your layout 😂
Thanks both 😀👍

33:03 - Is there supposed to be cars parking down the tram track stretches of these roads?
There is parking on there at the mo, whether it stays or not we shall see :-)
@@BiffaPlaysCitiesSkylines I would say don't let it have parking in the future, if it can be done.
it does look weird
Modern games are absolutely incredible. The first Skylines was hard for me to keep up with and this looks like it has way more detail. 🤯

Maybe move the street parking on the custom tram + two car lanes road, so cars won't park beside the tram tracks?
41:47 Tumbs up!

The parking situation gives me anxiety ahaha

That roof top sports bar really is brilliant
I think you should change the lane by the new plaza into a pedestrian road
Great neighborhood, can't wait to see how it continues to shape up. Thank you for the videos!

I find the amount of crossings in this game hilarious xD
In our country we would legit not even stop if there were this many
Yeah, the game just adds them at every junction, up to us to remove what we don't want 👍
Did you check whether or not they have to pay for the new parking building? There's still a suspicious amount of parked cars on the street!
The building was full 2 minutes later 😅
Thank you for another CS II video.👍
Cool Biffa
You have a road on road tool why not make a dedicated left which is above the already existing road so they don't have to stop.
Literally watched Kettlebridge and New Brewburgh (as far as this episode) like a binge watch of a tv show. The playlist is fantastic for it. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Yay 👍 😊
Nice, bicycle friendly city…
What bikes? 😐
Perhaps an invisible path in the park at the end (where the formal path you created is wiggly) as a straight through short cut..
at 32:55 i rthink it can't give you advanced split phsding, because some (one or more) roads have only one lane going into the traffic light
saturday tea time!
Enjoy :-)

Hey Biffa, my favorite part of any of your cities is the next part. But I do like that city hall area.

This was a great build to watch, though my personal taste in colors would never allow purple on the side of a building 😂
I've seen so many interestingly coloured high rise blocks around the place 😅
Yay! Fave vid, CSII 😁
New area is looking good
Thanks :-)
I've bought CS1 DLC from them.
I don't think you really need all of those walking paths in the city area. The streets have sidewalks, so it's already very walkable.
🤔 Mixed use will affect commercial and residential demand, right, Biffa? 🤨
Just back from the morning dog walk and perfect timing...BIFFA Time...A cup of...COFFEE and a good Biffa New Brewberg video.

Yes 👍
