Hey Salzburg 49ers, I was giving my cashier a break, I think 1993, at O'Hare airport and it was slow Sat evening and I saw Montana having pizza at a bar across from the newspaper stand. The sport illustrated had Joe's picture on it with his 4 (I think) S Bowl rings, I didn't have a penny in my pocket but did have my credit card. I respected Joe so much for his talent and resilience he had displayed after his back injury. I sold myself the magazine but still didn't want to be a di.. and bother him. But when he left the bar he came over and bought a copy of the same magazine I had purchased. I knew the circumstances of his departure so I simply ask are you on your way KC - all he said was I can't wait. The I asked (first time in life) him to sign my copy. Which he did. Just wanted to let you know. As a foreign student in Chicago, I am not ashamed to tell you that I started to love the game because of Montana before I started to like Payton. So I am a Pakistani, lived in Chicago for 25 years, and if/when ever you come here I will take around, at least in Karachi. Take care.
