Excellent thats the way it should of been from new. Well done for the conversion. I have just finished my ls swap into a ln111r, 4wd is fantastic of road and engineering is all done . Your conversion kits make it simple, hope to see you on the road soon.
Just did Booroloola to Hells Gate and Burketown to Cairns in my Pathfinder towing the caravan. It really needed a V8. The V8 Landcruisers and V8 Patrols make it look easy. When the diesel finally gives up Im doing an LS conversion too because I ain't got 50k to spend on a tow rig
That’s a awesome Ute there. I wish marks 4x4 offer a kit for the tf rodeo, that would have saved me a ton of work in the shed but I am stoked I built my own ls Ute. I did use a marks high mount alternator and a/c kit that fit in very nice. As the v8 holden and fords are gone now and prices are getting super high for factory v8s new, people will want to put v8s into all sorts of cars.
Most states won't engineer a 1uz into this model of hilux due to emissions laws. The engine must be same age or newer, so only option would be 3uz or ls2/3. So ls3 6litre just makes more sense
Wasn’t this an LS2? Obviously if it was an LSA or similar things go up but just thought to save people wasting his time with these sort of enquires he might have given a figure for that particular setup with the stock 5 speed as I’d reckon that’s where a lot would start? 🤷♂️🤷♂️
@@lachlanwoods3940 Agree it's weird a ballpark figure wasn't mentioned, would have been nice to know a bit more about the process too. A good fully reconditioned LS2 can be bought for ~6-7k, conversion kits another couple grand, plus 20-30hrs labour, plus whatever cost is involved for engineering report and reg engine to chassis. Guessing ~15k all up. What I wonder is, how it impacts the price of insurance.
@@IN_ZANE_ 100% Max, they wouldn’t be doing them and making money for any less that’s for sure? Insurance companies look for any excuse to raise premiums or not pay out on claims so can’t imagine a 4wd that was a 4 cylinder turbo now a thumping big V8 would be cheap to insure if at all? Shit I’m 40 and paid through the ass to insure an FG turbo Ute with a no claim history! 🤷♂️🤷♂️
With the enduring popularity of conversions like this, it baffles me that none of the OEs offer a V8 from factory in this style of ute
There scared to lose even 1 dollar there so out of touch these days
@@Bonnie-wg4rd fuel economy and emissions.......
That’s a beautiful truck nice touch on the Ls power train

I personally would love to have this conversion done to my N70 hilux
I love this...got N70...2013 model 3L manual
I need dat conversion....frm Fiji Islands

Right engine for the right body. Australia can have more V8 trucks without the "American size" if you know what I mean
That 154 is such a slug. Considered using one in my MightyX swap, but think I'll go the Magnum route.
very nice, how does it go offroading? well I guess thats my next search on youtube....
Keep an eye on Marks4WD. They’re doing some upgrades on it right now
I have always wondered how you get the speedo and interior electrics working with a different engine?👍🤘
Love this...awesome
Want to t56 rwd swap a 4wd one to leave options open later to go 4wd possibly
Been wanting to v8 swap my 1994 pickup 22re an keep the 5sp just haven't been abke to afford it yet
if ony that kit would fix into the Pardo 120 in the same age group as thast Hilux that would be my dream come true. Nothing bet that LS sound
Worth asking, might not be that much different.
I personally prefer the lt4 however this is a fitting combo
I NEED one of these, I wonder if it’s possible to ship to UK?
That’s Adam from the cook up
wonder what they do for the front diff
Did they say when they are releasing this kit to purchase mate? the link didn't have anything on it for the conversion.
Not yet, but I’d give them a call if you’re keen
Godzilla in a Ranger sounds good!
Godzilla in anything sounds good
I was dreaming of putting a cummins in one. But what kind of cummins i still wonder🤔
It’ll sound like a truck
is there a conversion for Prado 150
Drop Marks 4WD a line
Do you still have the factory dash panel and all interior electronics working
I believe so
I like it
It's still using both stock axles and differential?
Believe so
How much for LS3 kit
Contact Mark's 4WD ;)
So figures weren’t actually thrown around but around the $20k?? 🤔
Hopefully including engine lol
Without the box + advice , change the diget at the front + + proper engineering.
Don't ask if u don't pay
any answers on how it drives converted to petrol with original diff ratios?
Seemed pretty good to me. My 80 series is LS powered and still runs the 4:11 diff ratios
@@HoonTV also whens the kit coming so i can ditch this shit 1kd just problem after problem lol!
Mint 👌
Is V8 diesel???.. i prefer dat
Hahaa that’s how they should of made them from the factory
I have a 2013 d4d hilux auto 4x4. Can we put this onto the stock auto box?
Call them and ask 👍🏻
@@HoonTV im in the UK. Will drop them an email. Cheers
👍
So who do I contact for a kit
Link is in the description under the video 👍🏻
How much?
Contact Marks 4WD Adaptors
I have an N80 V6, id love a V8 in mine...
Would there be enough space for a turbo or Supercharger?🤔
There's always room :)
So cost please
Call Mark's 4WD for more info.
Best upgrade over the junk diesel👍
Agreed
0-100?
No idea, but it was way faster than a D4D
why not a 1UZ
Hard engines to get and only 4.0L. Plus they're quite bulky
@@HoonTV you but ls swaps have been done to death
@@brad.979. because they're easy to get. 1uz are wider and not so plentiful. They do sound better than an ls though.
They probably wanted more than 100 RWKW

Hoe much fornthe conversation??
What gearbox?
This one is using the standard Toyota gearbox
But is it still 4x4?
yep
Surely that gearbox wouldve died by now.
Push rods, japanese ute and questionable fashion choices oh my
I would of swapped to a ZF8 gearbox
They’re working on it
Video let down by terrible camera angles and bad editing
I’ll send you a refund 👍🏻
