I noticed that right away. I have a homemade oak y shaped slingshot, with gold theraband rubber. It's no joke and would kill small to mid size animals. Slingshot channel got me hooked on them. The store bought don't even stand a chance to a good homemade one.

@@joeygauthier8977 With the blue pouch on a 100+ F day will sling a 3/8" BB right through 3/4" particle board. The black pouch doesn't even sling a 38 cal BB hard enough to stick into the same board, bouncing right off. Leaves an indention about half to 3/4 of the BB.

On unpressurized cans I would 100% agree, but since the cans were slightly pressurized it might have "popped" and made a large entrance instead of exit. But I'm not entirely sure
In defense of the pocket shot... there are 3 different “balloons” with 3 different power settings (you were using the weakest one). I also noticed that the pocket shot was shot from chest/belly height compared to the slingshot being shot from shoulder height (big difference in accuracy). Holding the pocket shot just like a slingshot yields more accuracy AND power... just my experience with both!

For your accuracy test, you have a decent grouping for both. I'd say with practice they can both be reliable and accurate. But yes the sling shot looks better with its grouping being tighter.
Your power test with the liquid is just bad. The soda (liquid) will skew your results a ton since it can/will change the trajectory. You need something more like a ballistics gel.
My dad worked as a machinist while i was a kid and he used to bring me home 3/4 inch steel ball bearings for slingshot ammo, they fly much slower than 3/8 inch ones but hit way harder.

You should invest in a slow-motion camera. Nothing crazy or super high tech. But something simple. It would make videos like this be so much more interesting to watch. Either way, keep up the good work!
I would like to see a distance test for each slingshot. Just because the power they hit an object at is relatively the same, doesn’t mean that they can both shoot the same distance. Distance is a factor to consider when selecting a slingshot. Could make an interesting video in the future, especially if you include other types of slingshots. Also, the pocket shot has many variations/attachments such as a handle and an arrow mod. It would awesome to see some of those out to the test against slingshots and a bow.
Sometimes you should read the instructions because the pocket shot the reason it had a blue with it is because the colored bands are different strengths. They have three or four different colored bands that you can use with it and you can also use it to shoot an arrow if you get the quiver adapter.
The band from the daisy sling shot because you have it against the table is hitting the cans causing it to lose speed. That’s why it’s only going through two cans
Put on some eye protection Tyler, especially when you did the soda can power test with the steel balls. Man it would suck to injure your eye(s) while doing these tests and when you were shooting at damn near point blank you easily could have. Great video otherwise 👍
I’d probably go Pocket Shot for recreational plinking around camp just because of the lesser storage requirement. Couple it with a pepper ball and it’s a pretty effective non-lethal self-defense weapon.

the reason i can see that they were so equally powered is because the energy generated is by you pulling back on the elastic, or rubber cone. you're putting the same energy into each ball bearing because you're putting the same amount of pulling force into both. The only way one would be better than the other is if one somehow gave you a mechanical advantage. Which neither of these do. so it basically comes down to which one you prefer.

on the cans the exit hole is always going to be bigger than the entrance the hole the bearing went in was the small hole and out the big one

Pocket shot is definitely stronger because he didn't use the "pro" pouch (the blue one). The blue pouch is a lot stronger.

The entrance hole is always the small one. If you notice how the big hole is all split outwards, that’s where the bb is coming out of the can
