  • In this Cosmic Connection episode of the Astrology Hub Podcast, Astrologer Rick Merlin Levine and Amanda ‘Pua’ Walsh discuss Astrology and Reincarnation.
When you tune in, you will learn about the meaning of the word “reincarnation,” and why you can’t have reincarnation (birth) without first having ’dis-incarnation’ (death). We also dive into hard questions like, “What are past lives?” “Do past lives exist? And how do they fit into the study of Astrology?” Learn about why you must understand Saturn and Pluto before you can understand reincarnation from an astrological perspective. We also explore the meaning of time, is it linear or is every moment, past, present, and future occurring at once?
    On this episode, you'll learn...
🌔 About the word death and the more appropriate label of “dis-incarnation.”
🌓 What the meaning of Saturn’s glyph is and Saturn’s role in the process of reincarnation.
🌒 Pluto’s facilitation of the “Phoenix rising from the ashes.”
🌑 Our understanding of linear time and how it limits our perception.

You just need to read a lot & widely like Rick has, it takes some time & effort of course, but pick up some book on astrology or whatever interests you & dive into it. I find that once you get started, it flows naturally & at some point you will be synthesizing it all in a way that makes sense to you. Keep going & have fun!

Everything is made of energy. And energy can neither be created nor destroyed, it can only be transformed. So this can be solid argument for the soul as energy that disincarnates-incarnates-reincarnates.

Yes, I think "The Presence of the Past" is one of the most important books of the 20th century. And Rupert's later books are sooo worth reading, too. (Like "Dog That Know When Their Owners Are Coming Home and other unexplained powers of animals")

I love that planets talk to each other and vibrate like chanting monks.
Yes I believe too that when our brain dies it can still broadcast to those special enough to hear our individual frequency.
The most beautiful and thought provoking poem I have ever heard.
Rick's north node sun venus mars and mercury in aries
...have come out to play and shock us into thinking differently....he gives this freely to the collective.
He talks about Saturn and Pluto and shares a near death experience
With us so we can understand that Pluto is nothing to be afraid of because it is just the ultimate transformation of our physical bodies. That is so beautifully said.
❤ and light to the collective.
Thank you for your insights Rick. 😇

Funny that Rick mentions (at about 31:20) the psychologist James Hillman (Hillman was a gifted student of Jung who in turn was a gifted student of Freud), Hillman's son Laurence is also a very good astrologer in his own right. Laurence is currently working with the son of Sir Laurence Olivier, Richard to popularize a form of astrology that can be used in the work/corporate world that basically never mentions astrology (alas, plenty of corporate types currently do not think highly of astrology) but uses the archetypes of astrology & asks the kind of questions of people that essentially reveals the dominant characteristics of their charts, see Archetypes At Work & also Laurence's book Planets In Play that uses theater metaphors to understand astrological charts.
Oh and if Liz Greene were writing her amazing book on Saturn today, I bet she would call Saturn & Pluto 'frenemies' ;-)

    • @RickLevine
      @RickLevine 4 ปีที่แล้ว

Yes, James Hillman's work in very important in the big picture. And his son, Laurence is doing excellent work, reframing astrology into a workable context for modern times.

The soul is eternal (doesn't change) but the body that we travel in changes with each lifetime. So, I agree with Rick about that bit I also see how what Amanda said was a good explanation. Maybe that's the point- both being two sides of the same.

The SATURN URANUS squares in 2017 literally floored me everytime they bevame EXACT..and PLUTO the destroyer...entered Capricorn in January 2008.. which marked 16 years of HELL in my life.. .soo much DEATH, disease, obstacles and BAD LUCK 😭😭😭 and yet in 2023 when PLUTO sat at 29 degrees.. the impact took me to the nightmare realms.. each time it left into AQUARIUS I felt instant RELIEF!! I am counting down to 20 JAN 2024.. goodbye PLUTO.. THANK GOD I am still standing.. My chart is sooo extreme I have LIVED ASTROLOGY... And, that we ( currently) have to defend the right to have an Ethic.... so we all enter our "Brave New World"

I found this video particularly interesting because I have been thinking about reincarnation for some time now and because I had a past life reading in the 70s. The person who guided that reading said that the life I remembered would be particularly relevant to my present life. As we began, I had quick pictures of other lives, but settled on one in which I was a blacksmith in Pennsylvania in the 1700s. I was a bachelor, dying, bedridden with gout, in my cabin, several miles from town, waiting for a woman from the town to come to cook for me and change my bandages. As I waited, I looked out the window into my orchard, blossoming in Spring, The images still resonate with me and the funny thing is that my friends now think that the word "monastic" fits me and I have planted a food forest in my very small urban back yard. (NOTE: This was the first of 3 different comments I wrote, each of which disappeared, and then this (the first one) reappeared.

Pretty much any book on Classical Astrology will explain the symbols from Sun through Saturn (the ancient planets), I know of many older books (on old fashioned paper) that do this, but I'm not sure of videos that break down the symbols. Not everyone has to be overly nice, happy and cheery all the time. We celebrate Uncle Rick in all his glory! He makes Astrology fun, funny, and interesting!

I think of "Cosmos" as "Absolute Undifferentiated Space" (ultimate "Matter") encompassing the "Words" ((Note, Vibration, Word, Universe) created by activation of Space by Absolute Consciousness (Spirit). The Word IS God for each UniVerse.

I have had memories of past lives including people around me since very little. I didn’t know that they were memories from the past and future lives and I used to go back and forth. It was a bit confusing when I was small. For me time really doesn’t exist though I am aware of the Saturnian rules as a grown up, on planet earth. It might be recent that it came to attention to people in the west but I believe there have been those who were like me who knew the time was not what it seems it is and had memories from past and future. Interesting topic but for me it is not something to think about but to feel and experience.

Thank You, coincidentally just 2 weeks ago I went to my old ex-neighbor hood I used to lived there for 21 yrs very secluded area. I happened to see my old neighbor I stopped and talk to my neighbor he have a big husky dog beautiful. This dog running toward me smelling and sniffing my legs and feet after he lie down by my feet, my neighbor said he want to go with you. So we talked and Petted the dog he tilted his head I looked at his eyes I see my old Dog eyes and face. I was amazed what I see my dog we put her down 15 yrs ago, and she found my neighbor all these yrs very coincidence. I think the divine send her back to our area hoping I come around so I know she’s doing God’s commands. So animals also same as human if their life cut short the spirit no peace the have to re-incarnate. God Help me I did big sin.

Here is my theory … we are multidimensional beings experiencing spherical reincarnation where we orbit spherically through many many versions of a pattern that we have chosen to learn through many different facets of how the pattern unfolds. Why can’t souls divide just as cells divide? Many cells together create our liver, many cells together create our brain… could many souls / cells coming together create highly evolved beings in the future? 🌟💫🌟💫🌟💫🤩

And then there is the Pagan Goddess Hel, (spelled with only one L), the triple goddess, also known as the Hag (which means wise woman) of the Ironwood, or Angurboda. This Germanic goddess houses souls in her underworld and cares for them until they are re-born into the physical realms once again. She is known for her beautiful rose gardens (the rose is associated with many goddesses, volcanoes (similar to Pele', goddess of volcanoes and fire which lends itself to transmutation, as well as the link to the womb and the unconscious, as in the darkness one may discover the greatest riches as they're found within), Runes (the germanic alphabet also a divinatory tool) and the Hekkappe', which is the helmet one must wear to enter hell, if one wants to remain invisible so one may return to earth. Anyway, couldn't resist adding that to the mix. As always, THANK YOU RICK and Amanda. Wonderful!

I believe we are human spirits (some refer to as souls) who chose a physically focused experience (body, sensations, emotions, etc) and created our personalities. The spirit remains the same. I call death/dying transitioning. I have liked/used graduating in the past but let it go because that implies higher level, which is a value assignment.

Oh, plant chemistry definitely helps reach into the realm of the unseen. When I do my work something takes over my hand and brain. I actually talk to the universe while painting. I get answers and follow the directions I get. Even when I write. Once I'm done, I often cannot even fathom how that came out of me. Sometimes I stand there in awe, not being able to accept that my hands did that. Plant chemistry helps that process. It's like lubrication to reduce the resistance of the physical/gross universe.

In reference to the Question Amanda asked Rick about the body/soul and Saturn (as that which changes nailed that that which doesn’t change) as I was listening I realized “It’s both!” The soul is changed as it is impressed upon by the life that is lived through the flesh and the body is changed by the presence of the soul within it through time. And both are static and held in place by a certain Saturnine quality of limitation for a certain time period. Just wanted to add my two cents to say it looks to me that your both right,

I saw my comment from two years ago, once I finished writing this. It’s amazing how all the things that have happened between then and now can change the way we hear and process things.
I don’t agree with sliding toward the edge as we age, that’s almost too easy. It’s a kind of programming. A kid or a twenty-something could be lacing their shoe, finish, and take a step into the street (or off the edge of the curb) and be gone.
Could the point be that we just don’t know where the edge is and regardless of the side of the coin one is on, not to assume one way or another?
I love Rick. Hang on most every word he says *and* to say we’re closer to life or death based on where we stand in time, it’s a heaviness that can prevent people from living, especially teenagers, bc what’s the point?! It may be a corner that at some point one may or may not have to consciously reckon with for ones self, but the blanket statement, from one’s elder can crush a soul before it’s even begun to live. We aren’t all made of the same stuff and slamming that on the table feels like the scene from Deer Hunter when the soldier is forced to play Russian Roulette. I write this for myself, as well as in response, bc people are a kind of fragile that I’ve never seen before or maybe didn’t notice…either way, more things to consider when we’re out in the world.

Exactly! It's the SOUL that never changes........but it accumulates past lives....I think Saturn "directs" the soul throughout life......

This is gonna sound blasphemous for the religious believers, but I think this is why 'Saturn' is seen as 'God' for a lot of folks throughout a lot of traditions.
