Love the twister tool. I made a large Christmas tree quilt. I used a pen and drew a line around the tool and them cut the fabric with a scissors. This worked easily and quickly. As I cut easy row I immediately sewed the row..
You will love how easy it is to make twisted pinwheels using either of these tools. I've had make a conscious effort to stop so that I can get onto the next tutorial. lol.
Hello Mrs. Alanda, thank you for this Tutorial. I was wondering if you have tried to do any cuts with your brother scan and cut. I have one also along with a circuit maker and I have just begun to make anything having to do with sewing 😬🙈 but watching you is helping me think I can do it. Thanks in advance Angela 🧚♀️
Just wondered if you ever tried it with the Brother Scan N Cut? I’m thinking of buying one and wonder how well it would work to cut something that already has a seam, and if all seams would need to be pressed open.
You can certainly do that if you wish, Sharon. I find it just as easy to cut around the tool as intended. It gets quicker and easier to do the more you use it.

Very good explanation.

Really like that, thanks for sharing. What size are your squares and borders before you cut them with the 3.5” ruler?
For the yellow bordered demonstration piece of fabric we used 5" squares and a 3" border.

Very lovely and neat..👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you Lucille.
Looks like fun
It is fun to do and I really like the result of the twisted pinwheels. I have made cushion covers and table runners using these little tools.
I have the Lil Twister, but that Twist and Stitch looks much easier!
A rotary cutting mat would help tremendously.
Of course. I have one and didn't even think about it at the time. Thank you for the reminder Joyce. I will certainly use the rotating mat next time.
Ab-fab! I’m wondering, when using the small tool would it be easier to outline and then cut along your marked lines? Thank you for the demo.
You can certainly do that if you wish, Sharon. I find it just as easy to cut around the tool as intended. It gets quicker and easier to do the more you use it.
If you use 5” squares, what width of border do you cut? If you have a rotating mat it helps with cutting.
