- Hi guys!
Welcome back to another tutorial!
This video demonstrates how easy it is to make an elegant kaftan dress with a Cape. I did not use a pattern and its very simple to make.
You can change the type of fabric you use to suit various occasions! For this video I designed a formal kaftan for occasionwear. This is also perfect for events such as Eid or weddings.
The belt on this kaftan is tied on the inside leaving a Cape like effect on the back fabric. I love the flow and the look.
You can obviously adjust the length of the dress to your preference. If you extend the neckline further this will create a more dramatic off shoulder effect.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial as much as I did making this dress. Please don't forget to comment like, share and subscribe.

I am learning a lot. I love the paper trick to explain. May I get permission to use it on one of my tutorials. 🙏🏾

Thank you so much! And yes of course go ahead! Its the easiest way I found to explain some of the patterns. Thank you again! 😊🥰🥰❤
@@CreationsByShey especially when you shoot your own videos and the fabric is out of the Frame 🖼
Shey it’s a genius idea.
@@itssaneD yes it's the only easy way to get all the fabric in shot! 😃🥰❤
This is STUNNING! i got quite confused where you were sewing though, would you be able to draw on paper exactly where you sewed for the sleeves sides etc? i’d love to make this ♥️
Thank you. I sewed along the shoulders minus the neck width in the middle. I also sewed the sides minus the armholes from the shoulders down I think I measured 10 inches down x
😍👍🌹🌹
❤🙏🙏🙏🙏❤
🤗🤗🤗👍
Thank you dear ❤😘
Nice one
Pls which material did u use and how many yards
Thank you. I used a satin material. And 3 meters x
Assalamu Alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu could you possibly do a tutorial on an iraqi jilbaab the complete cover from head to toe please. I think it's also referred to as the Saudi abaya.
W/salaam sister. Inshallah I will try to do a video on that. Sorry for the late reply xx
Just stumble on this now and it is so beautiful! But you didn't hem the neckline
Thank you dear. I did hem the neckline...I folded it and ironed it 🥰
I made mine last week it came out fine but using from shoulder to waist for the belt it didn't come out well
@@sundaypatience1871 ohh why do you say that? Did you not measure it correctly? X
Have corrected it. It is so beautiful thanks for the knowledge
Pls ,what fabric did you use. Thanks
It's satin x
Omg,ur amazing my beautiful teacher you replied so fast God bless you alot

I am 5 foot 10 so how much length would I need to have? It would be more than 60
Inches right?
I'm 5'9 and it worked well with me with those measurements. If you want more length you'll need to cut the pattern lengthways ... so you'll need more fabric x but I reckon at 5'10 you'll be okay with those measurements unless you want floor length x
@@CreationsByShey thank you !
