However Margaret Weis would be a good suggestion because her company actually produced games like Firefly RPG, Serenity RPG, Battlestar Galactica RPG, Leverage RPG, Demon Hunters RPG, Smallville RPG, Supernatural RPG, Marvel Heroic Roleplaying and Cortex System RPG (Most of which i have myself).If she were present, the fanatical Firefly/Serenity fan base might make itself heard.

Why does it matter to you if a TTRPG company made contributions to another orginization? Ask yourself if you’d care as much if they donated to your preferred organization whatever that may be? It’s their freedom to do so and I don’t think their monetary donations have any impact on their work in the TTRPG space 🤷♂️

Agreed. Switched to C&C, and never looked back. Plus, the heads of the company regularly talk to the people, and are generally just friendly and grounded folks.

As others have said, C&C is my product of choice. It was before this, but it's nice to have confirmation.
C&C is a solid & flexible system & my go to game for FTTRPG fun. I can't recommend it enough as a game 🤘

FYI, Jorphdan is an enthusiastic youtube content creator who dug into D&D lore over past 50 years and made tons of videos on them already. His research has been very thorough and even old school gamers like me could gain some missed out or out of print information from him. He is no less valuable than Bob the Builder into the summit if you ask me.
I agree, I like Jorphdan. He is good people, but his resume of gaming products is pretty light. (He has even stated that putting the 'ph' was a terrible marketing move on his move)

Jorphdan has a youtube channel where he talks a lot about D&D lore and covers a bunch of OSR stuff as well.
He also does live plays. I tried watching a Planescape game of his and it was very erratic and all over the place. He seems like a nice guy though, but I'm sure he bends to the woke like the rest of them.
Was just going to point out Jorphdans two main channels Saturday Morning D&D/RPG, and his Jorphdan channel where he delves into lore of settings, creatures, characters, items, etc.

Can you clarify what that means that "Joe Goodman works closely with Jennel Jaquays" in terms of quality? Lost Caverns of Thracia and Dark Tower are classics so I'm not sure where you were going with the comment.

I was just watching a Matt Colville live stream about game development.
Part of it he explains the blue ocean Theory of TTRPGs.. that some people believe there is a demographic of people that don't play but would play if ... If a lot of things. That if games cater to them the game will get the sales of its regular buyers plus all the new people.
Reality is something different. People who play these games are the people who play them and good game design caters to them, because without them the game sells zero books. There is no blue ocean of other people.
I don't feel represented because there are no brazilian RPG creators on that list 😂. But seriously, the worst thing about this is that most of these diverse guests were not invited for their talents, but just to fulfill a social quota. Now we know that Goodman Games will bend the knee to people who don't even buy their products.

They could invite Diogo Nogueira. Not only he created stuff for DCC (and other games) but he also has his own games.
If Kelsey Dionne was on that first list, I don't know of any grognard that would object. Her game Shadowdark was a huge surprise hit. She has earned respect based on merit, and not because she's a gay woman. She's a great example of merit above identity politics. And when it comes to success, she's easily equal to, if not better than, most of the folk on that first list. And she's miles above anyone on that second list. Though I'm sure some weirdos would complain that she's too white.

This was the last straw. I'm done with GG. I own an entire bookshelf of their product. including DCC core x5 variants, it's modules from 66.5-100 (including several reissues and variants) all special modules: boxed sets, holiday modules, program guides, horror modules, MCC, the first several modules of that, OAR 1-6, and everything GG produced for Lankhmar. I _was_ a paying customer. I am not now. The loss of me as a customer is worse than the ire of ALL the twitter activists that don't buy GG product that they are placating with these actions.
This has been simmering for some time due to other actions they've taken, only now boiled over.

speaking as a game designer with two decades and counting of experience and as someone that co-founded and co-ran a very active TTRPG micropress between 2011 and 2017, highly placed contacts with Kickstarter and Backerkit are an even more valuable resource for aspiring "Indie RPG Creators" (the people the summit is for) than writers/creators. speaking, again, from significant experience, the design and writing work isn't the HARD part of being an Indie RPG dev, it's everything else.
Better be careful, destructo wuss will be trying to cancel you for picking on these people.

Kari Jo Freudigmann works for Roll20/DriveThruRPG. I can see how she'd have some relevant insights. I've dealt with her many times at DTRPG and she's been terrific. The others are cyphers as far as I can tell.
DTRPG is trash and inconsistent in their policies, look at what they did to Red Room. DTRPG are just as stupid and socially influenced to current sensibilities as anyone, and maybe even more so than most.
I have a dozen or so Goodman Games products I've picked up over the years. I will not be purchasing any more.
When somebody spinelessly caters to these people, all it does is validate them and encourage them to continue doing it to others. There was a reason that deserters were shot, back in the day. People understood that cowardice was contagious, and sometimes you need to make an example of those who didn't have the courage to stand up for themselves.
As far as I'm concerned the hobby is dead to me, as are most major creators in the publishing realm of what used to be my favorite pastime.

This is sad news. I've been following new tabletop companies in order to find new games to play, and Goodman Games was on my list of companies to check out. It seems like more and more tabletop companies are making moves like this.

He also involved in the creation of 5e (probably even has the emails :P) I have had brief interactions with him and he's a cool guy and a prolific creator. His Demonlord KS also deliver early!
