Is funny that you mentioned extreme sports. When I skied the craziest thing I've ever skied I literally blacked out for the trickiest section. There's a permanent blank spot in my memory. One moment my skis were skidding toward potential tradgedy, the next moment I was about 20-30 feet lower down in the chute skiing out of a turn with incredible gratitude and joy for life
It's as if my mind turned off for a few seconds and my body was in complete autopilot

Love all of your content and love the sports examples as I relate to them a lot better 👍. Keep doing what your doing and I’ll keep recommending you to people!

Great video! Keep up the great work! I would love to see the video that you mentioned you would be producing about different types of meditation practice and their benefits!

Thanks, will make soon hopefully! Single focus, wide focus and loving kindness are 3 common practices. Benefits are nicely summarized in a book called Altered Traits

Flow state contains little or no deliberation. Only achievable through very dedicated practices & only then one can trusts & lets the muscle memory & instinct take over to be in a "zone".

What type of meditation should I be doing as a athlete? Is it different in any way?

Nearly every great Brazilian Footbal/Soccer player used the Flow State to master the skills (from Pele to Ronaldinho Gaucho) however it envolves thousands of hours of this flow practice.

I scored 5 goals in a half during an under 16 game and still don't know how I did it. My team barely worked on skills, we just scrimmaged a lot.
