Amazing video. Can you guys teach how to set the proper cutting data using the catalog charts?

Tip of day for increasing anything . Machine must be kept at 100% condition . You gotta pay what you gotta pay for the tooling , no shortcuts . And paying the worker decently helps too .

Having used this method several times, I can tell you the number ONE thing using this method isn't stressed in ANY of their videos on prime turning:
Power- the machine must have an ABUNDANCE of power, otherwise, kiss that tool and part goodbye.
Application- along with power the workpiece gripping force, MATERIAL, geometry and length are VERY important as well as the insert geometry, chipbreaker and grade. I've NEVER seen so drastic a difference in performance simply changing the latter and I've been doing this shit for quite some time.

this is not a bad topic.. .. though you may find that in some circumstances part of a choice in speeds and feeds to facilitate a quality chip, and productivity, may have been dependent on feeding towards the chuck; and the rigidity achieved from that... so.... as you look at this topic, do so with humility... no matter which way you go... there will be stuff to consider.
If you are in a circumstance where you are getting a chip string because you are forced to feed away from the chuck; which i have experienced.. ... i would bet this prime turning option would be ideal.
