@@ElvensongMusic . Not as much as I do, hearing it.. IS the dulcimer , Bass to melody, ddaD? I toy with the idea of 4 strings, and then cop out. I have a 4 string banjammer type instrument, and still can't decide between (- Bass to melody -) daDD, (which it is presently) or dgaE, so haven't done much with it. Also, do you have music or TAB for 'Here Comes The Sun'. It sounds beautiful...
@@annebowman5954 Yes I'm tuned ddaD (I can never keep straight D3 or D4 and all that). I strongly encourage you to play your dulcimer 4 string EQ. Play the tunes and chords the way you do in a 3 string configuration and just ignore the inside melody string to start. That open d string will sound good for 99.99% of all you play. Gradually you'll begin incorporating fretted notes on it as well. As for TAB for Here Comes The Sun, I've tried multiple times to get it down in TablEdit but there are time signature changes that seem to give it fits. That's a case where I used the TH-cam slowdown feature to learn David Schanufer's version. You can slow down a TH-cam video using the playback speed control in the settings ("gear") icon. I hope that helps and I hope to hear you play 4 string EQ soon! :)
Seeing this again is wonderful and touches my soul deeply, Dean. Thank you for your friendship and for sharing your music. Sending love from our home to yours!
Finding this was a gift to my heart ❤️ I see God's hand in leading me to your video! You see, not only is this one of my favorite Christmas songs, but I JUST pulled out my dulcimer--after years of it being packed away--and your playing inspired me as well 🙏
Clark I'm delighted you are playing dulcimer again! I played from 1979 until 1995 before work overwhelmed. I picked it up again in the summer of 2017 and haven't put it down since. Happy noodling!
One of my favorites!
Thanks for the encouragement Larry, I'm glad you liked it!

Thank you Tallon, I'm playing a 4 string equidistant tuned DADD
