Nice boot, but the soles don't last long. The lugs are deep, but only solid half way as the TPU fills the other half, so once the lug is worn one's walking directly on the TPU infill. The heel lugs are also prone to breakage on rough terrain too.

Silly question perhaps, but how does one replace the laces? Are they stitched into the shoe at the toe area under that synthetic cover? Or do they slide out easily? I own a pair, one lace seems to slide back and forth, but there's more resistance to the other and I'm cautious about tugging it out.
Is it suitable for Mera Peak?
Great boots but, crampons don't really grasp on the back of the shoe 'cause of the heel design. I have the Petzl Lynx crampons and Petzl Sarken Leverlock crampons.

I think that's partly because some people try hard to avoid animal products.

ST low altitude, LT high altitude. LT warmer.
Might have been better with a Robot Host...but decent looking shoe...

The shoes are made in Romania.
But i think the nationality it’s irellevant, the focus point here is the new shoe from La Sportiva.

Being Romanian (or not)was Symantec, but would explain the previously mentioned weirdness that might have been.
