Those piano arpeggios remind me a ton of Yoko Shimomura's works, especially her renditions of old soundtracks in KH3. Makes me wonder if GhostFinal and the other composers in Vanguard Sound took inspiration from that lol
This sound better than original vers to me after heard it so many times now. Maybe i dont really like too much EDM vibes. Since Ayla kaleido patch(except CW), latest ost sound a bit meh to me maybe bcz they tried to go EDM more intense than usual. I like soft EDM + orchestra like this which seen more fit with PGR, as EDM represent futuristic while orchestra represent story and gameplay. One of the reason why i attracted to PGR
I hope they will make it similar to Narwhal, most of the time the og version will be played during the fight, but there's a small chance the remix ver will be played instead
It works kind of similar to how Devil Trigger works, on most combat opportunities you’d rather hear the original but when it comes to a really big boss fight the remix fits perfectly
now that you mention it, antediluvian mothership and thalassic izanami come to mind with the similar thematics alomg with edm-orchestra and piano shenanigans
