The Ballad of Geralt of Rivia (Geralt & Jaskier)

- Note: With Jaskier being canonically portrayed as being on the aromantic spectrum (according to Joey Batey, sapioromantic, as well as panromantic/sexual) on the show; I truly have embraced, and absolutely adore, the portrayal of Geraskier as a queerplatonic polyamorous partnership with the two of them sharing the same found family (i.e. Yennefer, that also shares a romantic connection with Geralt; and Ciri).
However, I won't be upset if some of you are hugely into Geralt and Jaskier being romantic partners as well, and wish to enjoy the video through a more romantic lense, regardless of my own original intent.
As long as no one makes comments equating queerplatonic relationships or alterous love with "queerbaiting", and/or start arguing that Geralt and Jaskier are so obviously ROMANTICALLY in love on the show, I'm perfectly fine with people shipping them as romantic partners, too.
It's just the very first time I've come across any fully acknowledged aromantic representation on virtually any show.
And I find it to be a wonderful opportunity to bring some awareness towards the fact that aromantic people do sometimes form committed relationships with their closest friend(s) in the whole wide world (some may even use the term "couple" to describe themselves), are very emotionally intimate with them, and often even comfortable sharing a lot of physical (sensual, in some cases even sexual) intimacy, too.
Those relationships often read as romantic from the outside, yet the nature of the emotions, and/or the emotional/physical needs and expectations that accompany those relationships, are experienced as something more platonic and a form of heightened friendship, rather than romantic attraction/connection.
"Platonic love at first sight" is usually called a "squish" as opposed to a "crush". And Jaskier's tender aromantic heart was definitely quite smitten with Geralt, and had one of the most epic squishes on him of all of TV's history!
As for the video itself, it was essentially inspired by the fact that Jaskier was the first person that Geralt met, after Blaviken, to immediately fall in love with him, and offer him unconditional love, a family, companionship, and empathy...
He was the humble bard that made "all of it" - the Child of Surprise (Ciri), the Djinn (Yennefer) - happen, simply because he (very stubbornly) "graced a ride along with Geralt of Rivia", and unwittingly lead his heart towards romance and fatherhood.
He was the one that cared and loved him enough to use his voice in an effort to heal his wounds, right some of the wrongs done to him, and make people see him as "The Witcher" - the heroic "White Wolf" (or something) - a protector that families and villagers would look up to in awe, and value/respect his help; rather than a monstrous freak and "Butcher" to be feared and reviled.
So, I wanted to reflect and honor the unique relationship they have shared together over the last three seasons with this song, especially since Cavill's portrayal of Geralt has come to an end this season.
Hope you guys enjoy it! 🤗❤️
