I punched him there that he fell to his knees. We stopped. The next day he showed us the bruise i gave him. Dont worry its not a fight based on anger. Just a random exhibition i guess. It took place in a bridge while raining.
Was a nice little spar. Well done guys. But what I would say is the taller guy made it a bit easier for the shorter guy because he wasn’t keeping him busy enough with his jab. He had a great reach advantage but never used it at all really. So easier for shorter guy to set up his attacks. Peace and love
Look pops, I’m all for giving the boys some mitts and having them spar. It’s great for character. But sparring on concrete is irresponsible and a bad look for boxers and coaches. Please spar on the grass. Other then that, great work.
Oof in a situation like this, make sure he gets checked with the hospital as soon as possible. Im not joking. It’s all in the form homie, make sure you’re rotating your shoulders and hips together while keeping that hook tight 👍 liver shots are nice because it doesn’t need to be that hard if you can catch them throwing like I did, timing beats speed and precision beats power
Rotate on the ball of your right foot and toe of left while throwing your hips around. Throw left hook between the 9th and 10th rib on their right side. Doesn't have to be very hard. If you do it too hard they can piss blood and could potentially be fatal. Spar responsibly!
The smaller guy moves really well and switches stances, works the jab, and was so accurate on the liver shot. I’d like to see more catch weights in pro mma to prove, size isn’t always everything
The short guy seemed to be a switch fighter. Sometimes he used Orthodox, and other times he used Southpaw. The moment he switched without the tall guy noticing, his punchs became more unexpected.
I'm new to boxing, but I noticed the dude in white shirt kept changing stances from southpaw to orthodox, is it recommended for beginners to try switching stances?
No, it isn't good to learn different stances if you just started learning. I'm guessing you're an orthodox since that's the most common one. Different stances doesn't give you any huge advantages (Southpaw gives you a slight advantage since there isn't that many Southpaw boxers and people aren't used to them) However if you get really good at your dominant stance then you should learn the other one. If you're a beginner just learn the basics and don't rush anything, it'll come naturally soon :)
