This is public comment time. There probably isn't any back-and-forth, just public statements by parents. The parents ask these questions just to air them in public. They probably don't expect any answers.
I hope these parents know that if they get a MAJORITY (51%) of the parents to sign a petition for removal that one by one they can legally according to the bylaws get these people OUT.

The teacher Bruce was fired 7 months after and was placed on a years probation for his charge. The Begle's who were on paid administrative leave were also fired and the case against them for not filing a report on Bruce is still pending. Little man "Keep Going" Diagastino was voted out in Nov. 2020. Craig Peoples, a.k.a. the gum chewer, lost his reelection too!

Tyler Bruce has been charged with 2 crimes and Indiana is considering, and should, revoke his teacher’s license. The DOJ is also investigating the School Board members for inaction. Hopefully some of them will go to prison for violating Federal laws regarding child protections. Throw the key away.
I live in Florida. The school board is voted in. How are these people put on the board. Our school board make about $35,000 a year. These people need to be arrested. Can someone tell me what the hell is going on
Probably the people vote to get a person in when there is a vacancy. That's it. Any termination, promotion, or leaves would probably be decided internally. Ideally they would require a vote from the people for anything relating to the attendance of the board.

I am proud of her. All parents need to take their children under their wing and fight for them against corruption. A parent should be able to walk in a child's classroom at anytime. You are responsible for your child. They are not responsible. Good job parents.
A parent should be able to walk into a child's classroom, but they also should know that their child is safe from anyone who wanders in. These rights can be in conflict. I think that parents who are willing to go through a vetting process which checks if they have any history of crimes against children should be able to volunteer at their child's school on a schedule they set up with the teachers. All parents should be able to check on an app or zoom meeting to see what is happening but not to interrupt. They should be able to access the textbooks, curriculum and the lesson plans. However, to have anyone who has been fertile in the last 18 years to be able to wander into any classroom at any time may not be the best idea.
As a teacher I always said any of my parents had the right to walk in my classroom any time. Would be happy to see them. That was their child,, not mine. But I better treat them like mine while I had them. Since I had my own I have always homeschooled him. I don’t trust public schools at this point. And my son has special needs.

I started an org in my school where alum come by and prepare special needs students for ACT, SAT, IB exams because the school refuses to let them take it. We organize places to proctor exams, exam prep, and all of the details. My brother was a part of it, he is about to go to a four year college as an autistic student. My mother is a homemaker, but she homeschooled by brother better than ANY teacher he has ever had. I can tell you now that without her ZERO chance he would be here. There is a saying in my culture, when translated to English it means "a mother is a child's first and best teacher". So thank you for what you do in the school and for your child, I am sure your son appreciates and loves you for it!!!

I went to this district from 3rd-7th grade this school is so horrible that kids who were given sats after graduating were almost all unable to pass

This is a useless format. Parents comments falling on deaf ears and Teachers compelled to defend themselves and their work. All while The School “Bored” yawns and wonders what’s for dinner. Whatever happened...nothing?
Agreed, they should just take everyone who was involved in the enduring abuse. That of course extends to anyone who tried to cover it up, which would be about everyone on that damn school board. I went to this district I’m familiar with the dynamic they should all be locked up

I am proud of her. All parents need to take their children under their wing and fight for them against corruption. A parent should be able to walk in a child's classroom at anytime. You are responsible for your child. They are not responsible. Good job parents.
A parent should be able to walk into a child's classroom, but they also should know that their child is safe from anyone who wanders in. These rights can be in conflict. I think that parents who are willing to go through a vetting process which checks if they have any history of crimes against children should be able to volunteer at their child's school on a schedule they set up with the teachers. All parents should be able to check on an app or zoom meeting to see what is happening but not to interrupt. They should be able to access the textbooks, curriculum and the lesson plans. However, to have anyone who has been fertile in the last 18 years to be able to wander into any classroom at any time may not be the best idea.
As a teacher I always said any of my parents had the right to walk in my classroom any time. Would be happy to see them. That was their child,, not mine. But I better treat them like mine while I had them.
Since I had my own I have always homeschooled him. I don’t trust public schools at this point. And my son has special needs.

I started an org in my school where alum come by and prepare special needs students for ACT, SAT, IB exams because the school refuses to let them take it. We organize places to proctor exams, exam prep, and all of the details. My brother was a part of it, he is about to go to a four year college as an autistic student. My mother is a homemaker, but she homeschooled by brother better than ANY teacher he has ever had. I can tell you now that without her ZERO chance he would be here. There is a saying in my culture, when translated to English it means "a mother is a child's first and best teacher". So thank you for what you do in the school and for your child, I am sure your son appreciates and loves you for it!!!

You can't have a good motive for wanting to come between parents & their children, or for treating people like criminals. This isn't North Korea.

I’ve watched problems nationwide regarding school boards and this sounds like another good ole boy community! I feel for the parents and the students of this community!

As an educator, I advise every parent that can afford to do so; please pull your children out of the public school system... YESTERDAY.
She's vicious and I love it. Every single person on the board started out confident. By the time she was done, they looked pretty scared to me, as well they should. It all sounded pretty familiar. They are so smug and self serving.
I love it when people/citizens/tax payers have done their due diligence.
They are lucky to have this very intelligent woman on their side because she did a ton of work and had a ton of courage to present. If you do not think her work on this took away from her family, think again.

All someone has to do is raise a motion to remove the school board and reelect a new board. If the motion is set forth, and a second is received, they have no other choice but to put it to a vote.. This board is governed by Robert's Rules of Order..

It’s brilliant if your guilty...this isn’t just some random trial either, this is about kids, parents having to trust an organization that doesn’t put the welfare of these people’s children first, so pleading the 5th shouldn’t even apply considering this wasn’t a legal court proceeding. This school board SHOULD b more than willing to answer any and all questions from concerned parents considering the fact that they are the ones that ‘manage’ the system that’s responsible for teaching these kids and for the safety and well-being of them as well. It’s worse than spitting n the face of each parent with a concern to sit there like they did and basically ignore them and not even respond to any of them like they did...these people trusted these board members enough to vote them into these positions, so whether these concerns caused by actual events or if they were conjured up by rumors...that board should do everything n their power to eradicate or at least minimize any concern for any reason, and for any parent there. It was atrocious behavior.

I think school boards should only b made up of the parents who have children in that school. When a parents last child graduates then their position should open to another parent of a current student.
So let’s go with that - since i have no students in the public schools, and no opportunity to serve on a school board despite having three degrees in education - i won’t need to be paying the portion of my real estate taxes that support schools. That works for me. However, even Janet Yellen couldn’t print enough money for me to serve on THIS school board. A classic case of the inmates running the asylum.

When a parent came to school, PTA meeting or a school board meeting. Almost everyone knew about it and it was a big deal. Teachers and Faculty would listen and the parents would have a student plan made right away.

This school board appears to be like most school boards, a bunch of arrogant individuals with no accountability. The solution is to vote them out.
