- This is a a quick look at a kit box that I made up for my Birmingham roller pigeons.
Birmingham rollers have become one of my favorite pastimes. This video shows a nice loft or kit box set up that I made for them. It doesn't show the construction of it but shows the finished product and is intended to provide ideas for your own set up/loft. My birds are very comfortable in this loft and like it more than anything. This elaborate kit box is in no way required to have happy healthy pigeons. I made it this way for their comfort but mostly for my convenience and ease of daily use.

thanks and happy pigeon keeping!
very beautiful pigeons enjoyed watching ۔i am watching your video from pakistan There are many beautiful pigeons in Pakistan
I have 15 Tumblers(?). This awesome box and aviary is just what I need and want. Thanks for the video.
NP this is actually the first youtube video I ever made! Glad you like it my friend.
That nice set up. You just gave me idea for my new aviary.
Very cool my friend.
Nice setup and beautiful birds 👍
Hey Mike I'd have to agree with you in one of your other videos about that ferral pigeon only a few generations off. I bet 1 of its parents was a racing pigeon just looking at his markings and his awesome coloration almost like a type of Saddle homer.
Oh that’s nice man!
Of the many designs I've seen, I like this one very much. I have been looking for something on the small side that's really functional. Now that you have had it for a while, is there anything you would have done differently? Tks for the video!
Hey Todd, I have had this kit box for over a year now and I wouldn't change a thing! I love it. I have 21 birds in it now and I am at max capacity and it's still ok as long as they get to fly. Possibly a bit bigger would be fine but I don't want anymore rollers anyway. Thanks for the comment.👍

Thanks my friend, That kit box makes flying the birds so easy, and that was the first video I ever made! Thanks for checking it out.
@@Rocky.Ridge.Pigeons anytime..i always support other channels. I have 3 kit boxes myself.
Is it ok to use for racing pigeons
What size is that kickbox you're showing
It’s 4x3 and 4 high. Thanks for asking
I am almost done with my kit box but o need to know what are the dimensions of the outside cage thanks
David Adams That’s great, it is 3 feet tall 3 feet deep and 32 inches wide. I Hope I get to see it when it is done.
What did you use to make your perches? Thanks
The perches are made of 3/8 plywood and a block of 2 x 4. I cut a groove at 45° angle 3/8 wide about an inch into the block of 2 x 4 and did that on both sides inserted plywood into the groove with glue and put some Brad nails to secure them. The length of the 2 x 4 is about 5 1/2 inches. Also I cut down the 2 x 4 so that it’s more like a 2 x 3. Then I used a piece of strapping to mount 4 perches on one piece. This way it was easy to install 4 perches with two screws coming in from the outside.
Thanks for asking, hope this helps.
what are the dimensions of the loft. I am planning to build one...If you could tell the measurements it would be helpful...
Hi, The dimensions of the kit box are 4' tall X 4' wide X (3' deep form the door side so you can reach all the way in.) Hope this helps you. Thanks for watching. 👍
@@Rocky.Ridge.Pigeons Thank you very much this helps me a lot.
What is the wire of this kit box thanks
the wire on the outside aviary is 1/2" x 1" - 16 gauge galvanized wire (tough stuf) and on the bottom inside and on the door it's 1/2" x 1/2" Galvanized 14 gauge. Hope that helps you.
you changed the channel name pal ?..
I’m not sure what you mean. I haven’t changed it! Anyway that’s the first video I ever made. Thanks for watching it.
