He also had a healthy Ralph Sampson on his team who was a legitimate all star and was the #1 pick the previous year. And he was the ASG MVP in 85. I think that also factored in with Hakeem not winning.

it’s funny to hear how wrong clyde was at 5:47 but in his defense virtually every champion to that point had featured a hof big man (mikan, pettit, russell, wilt, willis, kareem, cowens, walton, sikma, hayes/unseld, moses, chief). it was thought without an all-star in the middle you simply couldn’t win.

@KestutisGustaitis it was earlier, I think it started when a Jordan led 1984 USA Team played 8 official games (televised) versus NBA All- Stars that included Isiah Thomas, Larry Bird, etc, and MJ led that cast of all college players to win ALL 8 games. The fact you would mention him in every video means you feel threatened. Jordan’s greatness doesn’t need to be juxtaposed against ANYONE. It speaks for itself. Multiple people can be great at something. Jordan is not better than Lebron and Lebron is not better than Jordan. They both were great for THEIR time. It’s childish to tear down one to build up another. Jordan was light years ahead of his time as is Lebron. They both did things no one before them did.
