We used to be able to get by when there was still Jett and shade for crit dmg. Now the space constricts to 2 characters. It’s worth the hyper burn before they delete hayato after Jett to make use of the precious extra crit dmg while we still have it. Imagine after shade remaster they make shade the only one as the crit dmg legion block giver. Becomes a stranglehold for crit dmg at that point lol
Unfortunately, Hayato is not intuitive and imo extremely difficult to learn without consulting outside resources. You will NOT understand the class if you just read the skill descriptions as you discovered early on with Hitokiri strike. I respect not being interested in the class theme/not wanting invest some time learning it. That being said, long animations are not a pain point of the class and I would say is a rather unfair criticism when the identity of the class is focused around canceling them. The hyper casual hayato player can get by with two rules of thumb when it comes to animation cancels: 1. Use surging blade to animation cancel both the up jump (press while rising) and dankuusen like you found at 20:40 2. Basically everything else can be canceled by Instant slice. These are very beginner friendly execution wise and are nowhere near cadena/blaster/khali levels of button mash/combo knowledge. Based on how much you hated it, I’d venture to say if your friend told you to cancel the up jump with surging blade you’d have a much better opinion of the class. My personal gripes with the class are really maintaining phantom blade stacks between bosses and the backloaded burst due to sakuno’s blessing. I'm also not too big of a fan of the gauge management aspect. For any potential hayato player, I’d recommend spending 5 minutes to skim through the animations section of the Hayato discord server’s google doc. As for your audio, I honestly couldn’t tell any difference except for the clip where you leveled to 260. Good job, thanks for the video!
Love my Hayato but just takes a lot to invest need a lot of mechanics to cancel during bossing and gotta keep track of your energy 😂 should watch Ducky video he explains all the animation cancels for mobility it makes it easier dashing around and up jump canceling into double jump it might be confusing at first but it’s a piece of cake once you get it down

will only do this class when my legion is 12450.

you should use the diagonal dashes those are allot of damage and great for mobbing
1% crt damage is worthy
Just attack or use shinsoku when u upjump and u cancel out of the animation so u can attack and move around xD
I know this is old content but I wonder how long it took you to remember that you can cancel the up jump animation with 1 press of the attack key
I needed some Hayato pro consulting to figure that out on day 3 or so but I could never warm up to that tech ~
