    I have shifted from Delhi to Manali about 3 years back and living in the mountains have taught me so many great things. While I had some amazing time here all this while, I had some hardships too along the way.
    So here I am trying to share it with you all! Hope it helps in some way :)
    See you next time with The Good Part of Living in the Mountains.

    City folks have a distorted view of life in the mountains; they believe that it's all very romantic. It's good to hear such a honest appraisal of day to day life in the hills. But perhaps, at the end of the day it is still worth all the hassles & hardships

      You can open cafe in areas like Mcleodganj Dharamshala Manali etc or you can take a homestay or guesthouse on lease. I also run cafe and one can earn from such business. This is the simplest way to settle down here. You can contact me for more information.

    That's true.. I'm himachali living in Delhi ncr and in total opposite side of the life as u r in right now hence can relate and agree.. Yet I think it has 3 stages.. First stage is excitement.. When u start living in a place so opposite in nature of the place u have grown, u tend to like it for few days.. Then reality struck. This phase can continue as long as u decide to live there.. But gradually u enter in 3rd phase which kind of coexists with the 2nd stage and that is a confused sort of love towards your 2nd stage. U know its hard but u get institutionalized. U kind of starts having a twisted affair with it. U don't like it yet you decide to continue.. This is what is happening with me here.

    umm... another hard part brings up a question how do you earn while living there :P

    • @anupamrae
      @anupamrae 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      This is a pertinent question. If you cannot earn enough by working from home, stay in urban centers where all the job opportunities are available. When you have saved enough to take care of all your future needs, then only move to mountains or remote area. If you have family, it cannot be an independent decision.

I have had my share of experience when I was in hills and had desire to live city life. Now it's reverse but I know the realities of mountains. So each lifestyle has it's own pros and cons. If anybody ask me that what kind of comforts i have. I have everything a person wants - home, settled job, vehicles, smartphone, laptop.. I mean everything i have a middle class person thinks about but somewhere inside me i feel i'm have something missing inside me.
    I'm just shifting to explore me, myself, my passion (Travle filmmaking) looking for a different culture.
