Holy ship dude! I used to ski those chutes a HEAP when I was younger. You just showed me how I should have been doing it. Absolutely wonderful. Loved it!
Right on, totally get it. A helmet cam is so convenient. Was thinking it could be fun to try and get a few of the folks that make content at snowbird and film some collabs/lines. Either way it be fun to meetup and do a few laps.
I've tried to qualify for the tour a bunch of times now but can't seem to hang with the level of competition. Always trying to improve tho. And thanks! Means a lot.
@@henryzakowski5385You are a phenomenal skier and as I watch your vids I often find myself thinking about your skiing in relation to the FWT. What aspects of your skiing are you trying to improve on that will further help with your competition success? Or are there non-skiing related reasons you haven’t had the breakthroughs you are looking for?
Thanks, I appreciate it. Although my technical freeride is probably already there, my freestyle skills don't quite match up against FWT skiers. Also the lines you see in this video are in zones where I've skied 1000 times and have every rock and turn memorized in my head. When I get to compete on unfamiliar terrain I often choke and choose safer lines. I am super used to skiing in zones over and over again and having second and third chances. Because that's how I practice. Comps aren't like that so I'd need to figure out a way to take a higher degree of risk in a single run on comp day without getting me killed airing into rock at the same time. That's what I struggle with. I'm a Pretty consistent 6th-17th placer at 4*s but rarely crash and rarely podium.
you've never been skiing better dawg, holy cow
Means a lot!!

Bro you're the king of the chutes... That 360 mute was hearty
Zakowski makes cliffs and shutes shiver their timbers
0:40 drop? wth dude, you just perfectly landed to the only space you could
It takes insane confidence to do twists when there’s still cliffs to go

Pretty remarkable skiing if you ask me, FWT this winter??
Maybe one day but I'd need to qualify first

Wow without the oww! Don't know if the wide angle view made it look worse than it was, but that looked like pretty high consequence stuff🤯
Wake up babe, new ZakowSKI video just dropped

Zakowski for President. Holy schnikeys
Sweet riding…. Spinning just left?
No unnat this vid sorry
Billy goat gruff gruff! Why don't you ever have someone filming you? I want to see the third person of these lines so bad. Remarkable skiing!
It's just pretty easy to keep a GoPro in the pocket so I always would wind up with heaps of pov until it kinda just became the thing I did
But yeah the goal would be to transition to doing real filming one day maybe
