    Brendan Kane gives Chris Do the sauce on how he's able to go viral across any social media platform. Research (study those outside your field, look at the context, not the content), pacing, tonality, captions, meme cards, etc… then rank them gold, silver, bronze.

    The part that really stuck with me is “contextualizing your message so the average person cares.” It’s more than just researching your subject, your competition or your target audience.

    My take-away from this vid is that: RESEARCH IS THE KEY, understanding what and how it works in social media is what really drives a good performing content.

    Thank you so much to The Futur for this!
    I have learnt how studying the context of a competitor's messaging and not just their content can really help with virality.
    And also making the context of the message easily understood and valuable to all would also help blow off the algorithm charts.
    And by the way I'm personally counting down to The Futur hitting 2Million subscribers on this platform! 😉

    Ayoooo…..great content, but it’s the “next Video button” that hovers over the large screen drop down button that forces you to go to the next vid or else for me…..genius. Great F-ing Job bro! 🔥🔥

  • @opiniononion

    The message is bit conflicting, he's basically saying make generalized videos that lots of people can enjoy whereas for the longest time, the Futur have been saying you need to specialize so that people can respect your authority. Which one is it?

    • @thefutur
      @thefutur  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You need to understand something. We don’t only invite guests that agree with us. But in this case, he’s saying you can bring a broader audience in if you learn how to hook them. Same content, different context.

    • @opiniononion
      @opiniononion 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thefutur Well obviously you can bring a broader audience if you hook them. I'm saying the way he suggests doing it is the shallow and wide approach. Eg Graham Stephan buying Tesla. That's about as non financial as can be for a financial channel.
      My question was which is better these days? His shallow and wide approach or the Futur's deep and specialized approach?

    • @opiniononion
      @opiniononion 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thefutur This is important because of the video that Shadiversity put out that talks specifically about this where a video that appeal to mass audience gets boosted but video that caters to his subs (a niche specialized crowd) gets buried

    No disrespects to The Futur as I have been enjoying the content for years, but isn't this guy Brendan the one making fake interviews with Ne-yo and other celebrities in this reels to make it look like they are colaborating but in reality it was a video of Ne-yo talking and a video of this guy just nodding to the camera put together?

    • @thefutur
      @thefutur  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Jose. I’m unaware of this. Brendan speaks extensively about growing followers and has written two books on the subject.

  • @travispercy
    @travispercy 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I loved this podcast. One feedback note -- I'm not sure the idea of appealing to the broadest audience is helpful... That's literally the opposite of what Seth Godin says, who's been in the game longer. If you try to speak to everyone, you speak to no one. Lots of content creators succeed without going viral... with incremental growth & the occassional j-curve spike

    • @thefutur
      @thefutur  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Niche videos rarely go viral. Seth is talking about knowing your audience and focusing on them. Two different ideas. Two different applications.

    Okay people, so I work in marketing for a small manufacturer of cloth diapers in Germany. I've been trying to work out how to reach more people on social media. But how on earth do I make people care about diapers?!

    • @stefanielle982
      @stefanielle982 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You dont have to make them care about cloth diapers, they already care about their babies. Maybe the environment as well? So many parent influencers out there too that may be great for the brand + budget. Plenty of aspects to work with on this one. Good luck and have fun!

    • @myashgarage

    If this dude is so good how come his youtube channel only has 1.5k subs and his best performing video is something like under 20k views? 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
