David Gunn (the singer) has a book describing growing up there and also raps under the name Yavid a Muslim pronunciation of David. He's been stabbed as a child and I was shot later in life which is why he's explained him or his band will never be without a gun even when on stage.
Most definitely one of they most dangerous cities in the country. And I can identify with these dudes being from Memphis TN aka one of the top 3 (or top 5) most dangerous cities in the country annually

I've never seen your videos before but this song brought me here. Your a interesting character. You sit there and listen to this song with such a open mind. Most older people would hate this immediately. May not be your favorite but at least you took the time to listen to it. As far as no hope he's referring to flint Michigan which is kind of a hopeless place so it goes together I guess. I was not expecting you to light up a bowl and I got a laugh out of it. On another note that awesome audio sample/chorus is actually the Allman Brothers-whipping post.
React to Kill em All, War Outside, and/or Alpha and Omega. They have videos and the songs better depict King 810's style of writing, heavily based off of their lives growing up in Flint. So, despite the frequent negativity or cursing or instances of murder in the lyrics, it at least means something personal to them. Thanks for the reactions!

first album was anachronism and it's their heaviest album but Memoirs is their most well known album and the big leap towards a larger fan base
