Beautiful performance of this movie score from "Crimson Tide". The movie is about a submarine during the Cold War, but Crimson Tide and Roll Tide were terms selected out of respect for powerhouse University of Alabama football during that era under legendary coach Paul "Bear" Bryant. The music conveys the juggernaut theme, and Gert's interpretation accentuates that theme. Well done, Gert.
It's one of my favorite movie soundtrack improvisations by Gert. (Along with "Chariots of Fire"). This piece ends with the U.S. Navy hymn - "Oh hear us when we cry to thee for those on peril on the sea." From Chicago. U.S.A.

Sound quality is great here. Please check locally. You may be referring to the Swell pedal, which von Hoef uses extensively here in this improvisation.
Not possible.. I was live in concert direct in Front of the organ and it sounded much worse. The audio here is much better than hearing it Live. Organ is too smal for the church, but not possible to install any bigger because of the 8 sec of reflections (realy bad reflections). So recorded direct at the console and about 3 Meters vom Ground at the point next to the organ was the best Posibility to record. Gerd was great!
