Just echoing that I was so excited to see a Vegas Showdown reprint...until I saw that they didnt fix the one problem everyone complains about. Not doing mounted player boards is almost criminal. The one thing that has been the mantra for a decade has been "I wish someone would reprint this with real player boards". Such a shame.
So incredibly disappointed that this edition continues to use the paper mats for players. I was excited to finally be able to get a version of this great game with better components, but there doesn't seem to be not much of a difference (other than better artwork).
The big thing is they needed to fold and Be flat enough when unfolded to not have the tiles lay uneven at all because they have to fit together perfectly for the diamonds to line up, otherwise the box size would have needed to be bigger.
So the good news is Renegade is releasing a deluxe Acquire. Chances are if VS sells well Renegade may do a deluxe edition too. May not happen, but a $40 price point might give the game an edge for casual gamers if it spreads on media.

I agree, what does it take to get a version of this that comes with actual player boards?

@@TheGameBoyGeeks The thing is that in your video you can see that the mat does not lie comepletely flat.

Are you kidding me??! I thought they would finally fix that with this new edition 🤦♂️
Man I was really hoping the player boards would be Boards and not sheets in this version.

Has this been released? FLGS have not heard of this and no listing on their distributions
I was told September release from them. Probably best to ask the publisher though.
