Organized labour has again rejected the 54,000 Nairas proposed by the Federal Government as a new minimum wage for workers in the country. Labour insists that it will result in income reduction for federal workers, who are already receiving 77,000 naira monthly wage. The 54,000 naira proposed by the government aligns with that of organised private sector. We do not necessarily always agree, but hopefully, we make each other think

Make education (primary and secondary) free and functional, fix transportation and road, fix water supply, fix electricity, i.e., reduce the cost of all these essential variables for ordinary citizens, and minimum/living wage could then hoover around 80,000-140,000 Naira. But our rulers aka "ruiners" will not do the needful!

The idea of states having their own wages is what should be considered. Why would we have a uniform minimum wage when state allocations are not uniform? Doesn't make any sense.
