I own a tuscon urban 23. Bought in December. Drove extremely cautiously being my first winters with Michelin all seasons on snow plus driving an automatic. Winters coming again and I am in interior canada. Can you please give any suggestions what tired to get installed. I don't mind spending more as it keeps me safe.
Thanks so much for the review! I just ordered these for my 2008 Ford Focus. Due to some scheduling issues I am very late putting winters on this year and I was really glad to find these at such a great price ($111/each) I'll have them in 3 days. I live in AB and travel to SK a lot so I need a decent tire in the winter.
I've had these tires on 3 different Ford Fusions that I've owned, probably around 30k miles and more than 1/2 tread left, I've been amazed with them, they're pretty quiet as well.
Zach Travers totally agree. I’m just finishing up winter number 2 and the tread is still great. Have these on 2 different cars and the wear, grip and sound is all really good. Have no need paying more for a big brand name. May need some new summer tires on one of our cars and will probably try this brand for those as well.
@@gregtoope I do have bridgestone blizzaks on my sister's lexus and my partner's Escape, and I have to say, they are a much better dry and wet weather tire versus these, but is it worth the difference in price? that's situational. Here in Massachusetts, we get 45" of snow on average, but we get a LOT of rain and cold dry roads, so I do prefer the blizzaks, but these have been wonderful tires too.
@@gregtoope wow, that is insane, we've had a very mild winter i think we're only at 25 or so. I'm glad you like them, good luck in the winters to come!
I have driven on these for 8 years same tires. They have been pretty good for me. I think this is the last year for them as 8 year old winter tires are pushing it. Will see how they perform this winter after 8 years if no good will by new ones. I would recommend them.
i am in Canada too and i just got them for my new sti and love them, they are doing great and good price, but people are saying bs about me buying them but hey i like them, great review sir :)
This will be my second season with them and we have Sailun Winter Tires on both our vehicles. Love these tires. I'll need new summer tires this coming year and ill probably buy Sailuns then as well. Cant beat the price for what you get. No negatives so far.
bs about them? What bs? They never heard of them? So what, people hadn't heard of Nokian and there they are... I'm in Edmonton and I bought them but mine are studded cuz Edmonton is well, Edmonton.
I have this exact model on my Corolla and going on my 3 rd winter in the Maritimes where it snows like crazy. These tires are great, my Corolla treks through snow no problem.
Thanks for the video! I wasn't really sure if it's good idea to buy them but now Im pretty sure they are good. I'm buying them on my isuzu. Thanks for the vid. You've got a sub from me
They were good, but we replaced this year (about a month ago). So got 3 season and probably should have gotten 4, but we drove to Florida twice on them (each trip put on about 5-7 thousand additional kms)
Hey, I am looking at these for my F150 in Ontario. Can you tell where you got as it looks like you just ordered them online and put them on yourselves. Thanks, just trying to find the best deal.
jedi jam I have had no complaints. This will be my third winter using them and so far so good. Plus we drove from Ontario to Florida last spring on them. Quite good and not overly loud.
Also in Alberta, make note the tires are LOUD! Loud in general on dry roads but with the studs (like I have) they are really loud... like you're driving on gravel (well you are if it's Alberta) the entire time. Love them though cuz they are performance winters for a decent price and studable!!!
@cruisncanada Hi! I would like to buy a set of this kind of tires for my 4x4 SUV. Could you please tell me what was your overall opinion after the first winter with this tire on your SUV? Thank you!
I dont get this why every one talking in seasons not km. Example i Drive 60 k, a year 30 k summer tires 30 k winter tires. 120K km would be 4 years. Now if i was a light driver and did 30 k km a year 15k summer tires and 15 k winter tires that would be 60k km in 4 years. Now you see if only makes 60k km and i drive more i would get less use out of the tires. About how many km did you get in the 4 years then 5th could have used more but was suggested to be replaced. Then all can tell more by how many km they drive how many years will last also. Thanks.
@@gregtoope bought a set of these tires. Actually bit surprised with the performance comparing to my other set of Nokian Hakapillita R2 winter tire. Didn't expect them to be this good for that price. Definitely will recommend them for my friends and others.
John G still super good. Still have them on. Will probably switch to our summers this coming week. I think I should get 1 or 2 more seasons out of them for sure.
Ran these on a Opel viaro van here in Norway with studs, where i live at the coast it can be snow one week and the next ice roads with rain. Cold not complain at all, almost as good as the Nokians and Continentals i have used before. They wont last as long, but for the price you cant really complain.
So one season in and these tires have done very well. Zero complaints! Season Two coming up!
any updates from 2018/2019 season? still good? keeping them for 2019/2020?

Just installed a set on my car today
I have a strong feeling am not going to regret the purchase
on season 3 and have been super happy with them.

Dave Torrance yeah this will be winter 3 or 4. And I’ve had no issues. Still look like the day I bought them. Been really happy with them.
Thanks for the review. I just bought a 2017 Outback 3.6R and plan on putting these on for the winter. Let's see how these will handle Quebec winters

STEVEN SOUSA awesome. Thanks for the comment!
I’m starting to see many vehicles with these on. That’s why I’m looking for reviews.
We have them on both our vehicles and this is our second winter season. Nothing but good to say so far.
Great video. I got some for my Kia Rondo. Great value. I don’t do heavy commuting. So they are perfect for my needs
They were great last winter. No complaints at all.
Just installed these tires on my F150 pick up truck. November 2020. I’ll give my review when the snow comes.
Hasta la vista baby! :)
awesome. Let us know how they work for you.
We run them on my son Mazda RX8. Rear wheel drive. Blast to drive in the snow.
I installed wst1 on Mazda 5 and car finally become driveable in winter. I was wondering if anybody compared wst1 vs wsl2?
Great video. Live in Sask and bought a VW golf r this summer. Going to throw these on the beast and see how they do.
I’ve definitely been happy with them. They are going back on the car this week.
@@gregtoope awesome! This winter should be fun with the AWD R. I'm excited

How did it go?

Eric Laing I really don’t find them that loud.
What was the road noise like on dry pavement?
not bad at all, definitely not as good as all seasons, but not to bad either. I really don't notice the extra volume that is coming from the tires.
My concern is that they get loud and make it hard to hear a phone conversation over bluetooth
Jason Madill I have them in a fiat 500 and a Hyundai Tucson. And I talk on the phone via Bluetooth all the time with no issues.

Munt Adisav very happy with them. Season 3 is happening right now. Great set of tires.
What’s the difference between wst1 and wst2? Is wst2 any good at all too?
Both were great. 1 of them can take studs while the other cant. I think thats the only difference.
Does these tires works good for BMW?
