I’ve never owned any of these colognes but based on your review and description of them I would have to go with the Sedley cologne. Although I’ve heard so many good things from Aventus I’ve never heard of sedley so I believe it would be more unique in a sense. The fact that it’s spicy and aromatic makes me take it over aventus so if I had the choice I would pick that one.

I love the Original Aventus so I would choose Aventus Cologne and a big thank you Steven for introducing me to the House of Marley as I had not heard of them before so I will be definitely checking their fragrances out, and thanks for the giveaway 👍

Your videos capture exactly what we as the viewers want in a cologne or perfume review. Although both seem extremely interesting, I’m sad to say that I don’t own Aventus or any Parfums de Marly. I’m still new to the fragrance community and still trying to complete my collection. If I had to choose one, I would love to try the Aventus Cologne since it’s definitely unique and the scent DNA is just astonishing.

I think people who prefer Versace pour Homme, will prefer Aventus Cologne, and....
people who prefer Versace Eau Fraiche, Will prefer Sedley (casuality both made by Oliver Cresp).
If you are looking for fresh, pure fresh then Sedley/Versace Eau Fraiche (Fraiche means fresh, he he)
If you are looking for fresh but with a Little bit of something more than only fresh, then Aventus Cologne/Versace pour Homme.
For hot summer Sedley, and Aventus Cologne a bit more versátil (Springtime, summer not very hot, maybe night summer…soft autumn even).

I have two bottles of aventus, one from 2011 & 2013. The original aventus is far from my favourite but still enjoy it.
I tried aventus cologne as though it was nice but that's it. Seems like many like it far more than me and I'm glad when people find what they enjoy.

Hi Steven, love your reviews. Question... I'm contemplating purchasing either Amouage Beach Hut or Parfums de Marley Galloway for Spring/Summer. Which do you prefer?
Both are great! Galloway is more abstract, but Beach Hut is fresher.
Such a great review comparison! I am brand new to the PdM line. I had gotten 2 decants of Carlisle and Akaster from BFL last year but it wasn't until this past week I got a full bottle of Layton Exclusif from my boyfriend when he was on a business trip in London. I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS PERFUME HOUSE! I've never smelled anything from Creed but have seen so many reviews by you and by Carlos of BFL so I'd love to finally try something from them. Both Aventus and Sedley sound gorgeous!

Aventus Cologne appeals to me most. The impact of the original had on me was just too special and sentimental to me the first time I smelled it. I don't know if another fragrance will ever again affect me in such a way.

While I never smelled Aventus and I'm fairly new to the fragrance community, my experience with fresh fragrances in my tropical climate have been PHENOMENAL! I'd LOVE a bottle of Aventus Cologne to see how it performs.

I'm a big PDM fan, but I'm not sure I would choose wither of them based on performance and cost. I need the fragrances I buy to last an entire work day, and I refuse to reapply something that costs as much as either. I have plenty of fragrances I can wear in the summer that perform better and are much cheaper. I always appreciate the information you provide to allow me to make educated purchases Steven! I really appreciate it as always!

Great review mate! Just subbed. I would really love to try Sedley, as I'm a big fan of PDM. I have tried Aventus Cologne recently, the scent is gorgeous just wish it projected & lasted longer! Was barely a skin scent after 6 hours and I sprayed a dozen sprays. So Sedley is next on my wishlist!

Fragrance is so subjective to each and every individual and scents tend to be varying in reaction on different skin. I don’t have either one of these but have a couple of clones of Aventus. I have however in the most recent months purchased some fragrances you have reviewed and appreciated your opinions.

I wish i could make it to N.Y. for the launch if Parfume de Marley's "Sedley". The anticipation is so exciting. I truly believe that we have received a personal and honest review of both of these new fragrances through the pleasant review and opinion of Redolessence. Very well done as always on this channel.
I would have to go with Sedley for more of the Bang for my Buck, and because I really enjoy a lot of fragrances from the house of Hermès. One day I hope to try the New Aventus simply for the fact that I am a very big fan of Creed, let alone the freshness of Aventus!

I’ve wanted to pull the trigger on Aventus for a while but $435 is a lot money. But I def want to smell Aventus Cologne. Sedley’s price point , while still high is better for my pocket and would love to get my nose on that one as well. Great video!!

Great job Steven! I felt that you've managed to pull together an in-depth yet at the same time a VERY fair review on both 2019 releases. For someone who lives mainly in a tropical climate and who owns quite a few freshies already, I'd lean more towards Sedley as compared to Aventus Cologne. Having said that, would you say that Aventus Cologne's fruitiness lends it to a more feminine territory to your nose? I ask that as my girlfriend really hates "fruity" fragrances on me (e.g. she felt that Erba Pura was a big NO NO for her when i wore it as it leaned a bit too feminine due to the fruity notes). Hope to be one of the lucky winner of that sample pack, and keep it up Steven!

Great idea in comparing two of the most popular mens niche brand releases. With all that you illustrated, I think it really comes down to how they smell, annnnnnd maybe the cost might also be a factor. I would really have to love Aventus cologne to cough out the cash for it. Having a free sample would be a great start in determining that. Cheers
