Lately I've been obsessed with this EP. It's so damn good but so under appreciated. Songs like Teenage Casualties and Cramp Discharger are without a doubt great but unfortunately don't have the same recognition as NG's album-released songs
Didn't know about this band until I broke my hip a year ago. Found them because I had a lot of time to check out the internet and couldn't do much for 3 months waiting for the broken pelvis to heal enough to put my full weight on it. Number Girl turned out to be one of those unforseen benefits. I'm a big fan now and would have liked to see them play live... from what I've seen they had the live concert thing nailed. Thanks for the excellent sounding post here. The difference actually can be heard with my Audio Technica M 50 x phones through the magic Altoids box.
sucks bout yr pelvis hope yr doing better. yes i up'd these cause the cd's not only sound like utter shit. but not alot(well here in north america) know about this group. think they deserve more attention/awareness. sucks they broke up again :(
Summer is over. Drunk at midday I am an onlooker. Watching the city’s center The half freezing afternoon breeze is airy A greeting from the window to the scenery The people who live in the city know -You think the smell of your hometown still hasn’t changed?- A desert fight at the city’s center The red light district seems to be waiting for naked women At 1 PM, I listen to Galaxie 500 with 5 sake glasses, drunk Left to right, I proceed to look around the room, these unfamiliar surroundings Are you paying attention? this is amazing 4 of their best songs just back to back on one ep

they should have tacked this along as a bonus on SGDA. kinda recorded around the same time period anyways..

Not only that, but my god, mukai's lyrical genius is unparalleled.

Thank you so much.
and thank you for listening to this awesome band!!
This album hits entirely different when you're peaking on 5.5 grams of shrooms. Arguably better.
