@@serengyarchery да. Там несложно. Просто эту же пружину упрятать в рукоять, а маленький хвостик от неë должен чють торчать вверх сквозь трубку. Ну и прорезь в трубе, естественно, повернуть согласно пружине. Можно добавить спусковой крючок, но это потом.

@@serengyarchery i have an idea: you can offset the trigger mechanism, so when you cock the spring you lock it on the side where the trigger was offset to, and when you pull the trigger it will push the spring out, so it works similarly, but it pushes the spring in a differnt way. it will probably make pulling the trigger harder, but at least the spring wont be hangin from the side.
Я только что увидел, что автор скорее всего знает русский, поэтому опишу идею нормально, английскую версию оставлю, не зря же старался. Так вот, идея такова: можно сместить спусковой механизм а пружину сделать соответственно с противоположной стороны и фиксироваться она должна на сторону спуска, при нажатии на спуск он будет её выталкивать, скорее всего спуск тогда надо будет сделать пошире что бы он мог вытолкнуть. Спуск конечно будет длинный, но зато пружина не будет сбоку торчать.

@@serengyarchery поскольку для того, чтобы спрятать пружину в рукоять, придется повернуть ствол прорезью кверху, а соответственно ставиться на взвод "нога" будет уже не вниз, а вправо или влево. В теории можно утолстить рукоять и поставить пружину под небольшим углом, оставив сам спусковой рычаг строго вертикальным. Таким образом при нажатии на спуск рычаг будет подниматься и давить на ногу всё сильнее пока в итоге не выдавит её из ямки и не произойдёт выстрел. Из минусов такая конструкция вряд ли будет очень износостойкая, ибо всё же добавляется лишнее трение.
Есть второй вариант: поставить ствол и пружину строго вертикально, но избавиться от "спускового крючка" заменив его на кнопку как для сброса магазина, нажатие на которую будет точно так же приводить в движение рычаг, только уже горизонтальный. Либо можно сделать кнопку буквально простым цилиндром, который будет выталкивать ногу из ямки, но тут придется выносить ствол вперёд и менять форму рукояти чтобы наклонить пружину вперёд

But FWIW
1) Similar production item would use a roll pin for the trigger pivot.
2) Springs are made from a particular version of steel, and heat treated, AKA tempered after they are shaped.
His project obviously works as intended without those complications. Beautiful work.
BTW - TH-cam MidwayUSA covers spring hardening & tempering in their short video of How to make a new mainspring for a Ballard rifle.

А мы в детстве делали пистолеты стреляющие горохом.Выпиливали пистолет из дерева,прожигали ствол,Этот ствол интересней,но в деревне в 50-60гг. это было бы сложно сделать,но можно если была бы эта идея.Мне понравилось!

How about incorporating the spring into the handle, so instead of the spring protruding out the side it would be a little more concealed and the cocking action would be at the top . Try a tougher spring for science n’stuff 😅
