A really helpful strategy. Especially if you and your opponent are not on the same skill level and you are playing against better players, they will realize this so quickly and take advantage by freezing you out. I think this strategy can be very effective in this situation. Will be trying this out next 💪🏻
I think it's important if you feel 'fridged' to keep your legs moving. Very easy to find yourself flat footed when not involved in many points so it helps staying on your toes and split stepping continuously. Another point is to improve your communication with your partner and being more specific on where the opponents are positioned. Good video.
Fridging them back seems like a good strategy indeed! The fridged opponent may realize what is happening here, gets annoyed and tells his buddy to stop the freeze so he can actually participate in the match as well. A taste of his own medicine so to say :D The single best strategy against the fridge of course is to only play competitive matches with partners who are your level.
Cool video. How do you like the neuron racket? Usually I try and rapidly move up and back when we're defending, sometimes they will try and lob you and you can get in the game. Sometimes you can snipe a ball or block a bandeja they don't expect.
Got fridged to the extreme last tournament. But I was playing the right side so that pretty much removes the 1st and most viable tactik. No point in me taking overheads with my backhand. I felt 100% useless
@@EverythingPadel 100% we found that out the hard way. I usually play left with him because my overheads better then his. But my usual spot is the right side with different partner(I'm better right side). This was the 1st time this partner played left and I played right. But very fast they realised his smash ain't the best and I was clueless what to do. I was to nice. After losing a set I thought of suggesting switching but I didn't want my partner to feel bad about his performance on his 1st match on the left(he is not the most confident player). But it did cost us (I play left again now with this partner haha)
Using the fridge tactic in social games is the ridiculous... Stopped playing padel because so many people are doing it in "friendly matches" that it became ridiculous and against the purpose of being a social sport Back to tennis :)

So helpful, I’ve been on a decent losing streak due to this so it is appreciated! Great content as always dude!
Glad to hear it!

You could always switch sides if that happens
